The Realtree Max5 LensCoat Xpandable 4x Long Lens Bag Realtree Max5from LensCoat Xpandable 4x Long Lens Bag Realtree Max5holds a DSLR with an attached long telephoto lens, such as up to an 800mm f/5.6, and a teleconverter inside a triple expandable main compartment. The bag expands between 21.5 to 24.5 to 28.75 inches and features removable reinforced insert panels to allow you to configure an optimal weight and support. Additionally, it folds nearly flat for packing and storage.

For your accessories there is a rear slip pocket with a touch-fastened tab closure, an expandable side mesh pocket for your water bottle, and a removable lid that features an exterior top zippered pocket. There is a side tripod attachment, and a detachable shoulder strap for carrying comfort. The shoulder strap can also be repurposed to secure the bag during transport. This Lenscoat bag is made from water-resistant Cordura and webbing in the USA.

A: The spec's from the manufacturer say 7 to 7.75 inch diameter so theoretically it should fit. I use mine on a Sigma 300 - 800 zoom.

A: The LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (4X-Large, Realtree Max5) is larger than necessary for the Nikon Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S Lens; the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover 2X Large would be a better size.

A: Sorry I do not own a Cannon 400mm. I shot Nikon.

A: I'm sorry I can not answer that question.

A: I do not have the 800mm lens; however, my 600mm Nikon with D800 attached fits nicely in this bag!Great for storage or traveling or short hiking. Recommend getting a Bob stroller for carrying these heavy lenses when you visit a zoo, etc.

A: This is designed to just fit a camera body; lenses will not fit.

[Yes] I use a lens coat on my 600mm f4 Sony, and that makes the hood a bit to thick for the factory lens cover to fit over. The Hoodie solves that problem and is easier and quicker to use than the factory cover. 5

[Zipper] This is my second hoodie and I can't see owning a large lens without one. The first was on my Canon EF 500mm f4l is. And when I sold that lens and purchased my 600mm I purchased another for it. They fit well and are very easy to use. 5

[5.205 lb] I needed a lens case to transport my Canon 600mm lens when traveling in the car. The back pack I bought for hiking with the lens and attached camera body was too large. This case in the fully collapsed condition is a perfect fit for the lens with the hood in the reverse position. The case middle length condition is for the lens with the lens hood in the forward position. I don't recommend this position because loads on the lens hood could break the hood (a $700 item). The case in the fully extended condition is for the lens with extended hood and camera attached. Again, I don't recommend this. This can cause unnecessary loads on the lens to camera flange. The safest car transport is for the lens only with the hood in the reverse position. The build quality of the bag is very good, which helps justify the stiff price. But it is worth it to protect a mega bucks lens. I am pleased with this bag, highly recommended. 5

[Zipper] I have used these on several lenses: 14-24/2.8, 500mm and 600. Great protection for the lens when not in use, yet easily stuffed into a large pocket or bag when lens is being used. 5
