Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have the Canon 600mm F/4 II. When you're not using the standard hard lens hood, the cloth/velcro lens cap doesn't really fit on the end of the lens snugly. How do you all cover your lens front?

A: While I do not see a lens cap designed specifically for use with the LensCoat TravelHood (Large, Black), the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (4X-Large, Black), B&H # LELCH4XLBK, may work for your usage needs.

Q: 2. Yes, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 Digital Camera would fit inside the LensCoat BodyBag Small (Black). However, the MegaGear Cotton Neck Strap may not fit inside the case. That being said, you may still close the flap on the case and the neck strap can be attached to the camera outside the case. My question therefore, does this issue defeat the purpose of what the case is intended to do which is "The hook-and-loop closure keeps the contents secure, as well as dust and dirt-free"?

A: LensCoat is a rubber neoprene cover that is ideal for storage and travel. The velcro "Hook and Loop" on the lid does not completely seal the bag. If you need to keep the strap on the camera you can leave the strap out of the bag. If you choose to put the strap inside which you can, the bag will actually expand more. This will lead to a larger gap than when the strap is attached but not inside.

Q: 3. What size would fit my Canon R 100-500?

A: Based on the lens you own, rather than getting the LensCoat TravelHood (Large, Realtree MAX-5), I would instead recommend the LensCoat TravelHood Zoom (Realtree Max5), B&H # LETHZM5 • MFR # THZM5, for use with the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Fuji XT-1 with a 35mm lens on it?

A: This bodybag is designed to fit just a camera body without a lens. For a better suited option, I recommend the LensCoat BodyBag 4/3.

Q: 5. Will a Lumix ZS70 or ZS 100 fit in this case?

A: Yes the Lumix ZS70, and the Lumix ZS100 will tightly fit in a LensCoat BodyBag (Small).

Q: 6. Does this fit on a Sony 400mm F 2.8 ?

A: Yes. The LensCoat TravelHood (Large) will fit on the Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens.

Q: 7. Would this be the right size for a Nikon s7000 point and shoot? Also, is there a belt loop?

A: Dont know if it fits s7000. I use it with a lumix GM1. No belt loop or strap. Use camera strap.

Q: 8. I'm looking for a snug fitting case. Would this fit a Sony RX1 with lens hood?

A: This case will not be compatible with your camera set up. I would recommend the OP/TECH USA Digital D-Series: D-Shortie. This would be a better fitting choice. Website link: a href= http://bhpho.to/178RXsk target= _blank http://bhpho.to/178RXsk/a

Q: 9. which size is needed for Nikon Z600mm 6.3 VR S?

A: The LensCoat TravelHood (Large, Realtree MAX-5) would be the best travel hood for the Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens (Nikon Z), BH #NIZ60063.

Q: 10. Does the pouch hold an 70-300mm lens?

A: I'm not sure which lens you have but most 70-300mm lenses will fit in this pouch.

[5.35 lb] I bought this case in June 2014 and have so far used it for 2 1/2 weeks on a photo safari in Botswana & Zambia, another week in Kruger, and a couple of week driving in South Africa. I bought it to use with a Canon 500 f/4 Mk II + a 1.4X TC + Canon 7D. It worked just as advertised, and filled better than any other bag I've seen the need for dust and damage protection while having quick access to a long telephoto with the hood attached.. Using just the strap that comes with the case I could anchor the bag to a seat back or bar on the safari vehicle. Getting the camera and lens out was very quick and easy, and the case protected the lens beautifully. Another reviewed commented that the lens and camera rattled around the big case which was true without a collar to brace it in the case. Lenscoat has since come out with a collar that eliminates that problemOne feature I really like about the case is the way it folds up flat and fairly compact (more than any other case I've seen) so I packed it in my suitcase when I had to travel by plane. It is also very light weight.I bought the optional shoulder straps to carry it like a backpack, but have not used them much. I found that for all my purposes carrying the case from car to tent or bungalow, the shoulder strap that is included worked great and doubled as a strap to anchor the bag in the car. The shoulder straps added more things to get tangled up, and did not improve the ease of carrying the bag enough to justify having them attached. If I have to walk a longer distance with the case my opinion may change.
