Designed for telephoto zoom lenses, the LensCoat TravelHood Zoom Digital Camo Camera Coverfrom LensCoat TravelHood Zoom Digital Camo Camera Coverprovides an adjustable strap-on hood that weighs only 5 oz and can be folded flat to fit inside your camera case or lens pouch. It fits tightly around your lens barrel and attaches with the use of hook-and-loop fasteners, blocking stray light from entering the lens for a clear image.

The water-resistant material of the hood grips the lens barrel to keep the TravelHood in place and allows it to be used in inclement weather conditions. This version comes in a digital camo color scheme that provides a pixelated pattern, mimicking naturally-occurring textures to help disguise your lens from wildlife. The product is made in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the LCRC2PM4 fit the Canon5DM4 with the 100-400mm II Usm with the 1.4 extender with the Wimberley Sidekick gimbal on a RRS ballhead? I also use the Tamron 150-600 lens and would like one raincoat to fit both.

A: If in doubt Kathy check with Canon.

Q: 2. will this work with the wimberley gimbal?

A: In theory, since there is an opening for the lens collar/foot, it should work. In practice though, it might be a little cumbersome to use and balance when on the Wimberley gimbal. I'd recommend practicing/attempting to balance lens on your gimbal at home before taking it out onto the field.

Q: 3. will this fit the sony 70-200 f4?

A: This would not be a good fit. All the sizes of the LensCoat TravelHood are made for larger lenses than the Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 .

Q: 4. Will the lenscoat bodyguard CB work with this cover?

A: The camera could be in the LensCoat BodyGuard CB when using the LensCoat RainCoat 2 Pro Camera Cover.

Q: 5. Anybody use this with a Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8? and how bad is the vignette problem?

A: The LensCoat TravelHood (Small, Black) was made for larger lenses like the Nikon 300mm f2.8 or 200-400mm f4. It would be too big to fit a 70-200mm.

Q: 6. How well does this fit the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary? Would the Raincoat 2 Standard be a better fit (although I fear it might be slightly too small)?

A: I do not have Sigma 150-600mm lens. I bought the raincoat 2 for Nikon 400mm, 2.8 lens, and I have not used it in the field yet.

Q: 7. I purchased a Rolanpro product similar to this one and it was too big for my Sigma 150-600 Sport lens. That is why I'm interested in the small size. The velcro strips didn't align with the end of the material and left too much flapping. Will this fit my lens adequately and have sufficient fastening material to keep the final end of the wrap tight?

A: According to LensCoat, they recommend the travel hood zoom for your lens. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/31VVYQQ

Q: 8. Which Lenscoat Travel Hood fits a Canon RF100-500

A: The LensCoat TravelHood (Small, Realtree MAX-5) listed above would not be the option I recommend for use on the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens. Instead, I would recommend to purchase the LensCoat TravelHood Zoom (Realtree Max5), B&H # LETHZM5, for use on the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 9. Which LensCoat travel hood would you recommend for an Olympus 150-400 lens?

A: The LensCoat TravelHood Zoom (Realtree Max5) BH #LETHZM5 • MFR #THZM5 will work on the OM SYSTEM M. Zuiko 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25 IS PRO Lens. It will fit on zoom lenses from approximately 67mm up to 150mm diameter lenses. It is possible that it will cause vignetting at the wider angles of the zoom.

Q: 10. Does this one fit with Nikon 800mm Z F 6.3 PF?

A: The LensCoat TravelHood (Large, Realtree MAX-5) will fit with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S Lens.

[0.4 lb] Light, yet strong. So Much easier to pack when travelling.

[Nylon] This thing works great on my Canon 600 f/4 L II. For transport I wrap it around the lens (under the foot) and put both in my Kiboko 30L.

[Nylon] Expensive but a Nikon double solid lens hood for the 600mm f/4 lens costs several hundred dollars to buy a new one if it gets damaged or bent or whatever. This is not lighter but folds nicely soit is not bulky and therefore better for travel.I would not bother to buy it for other lenses since you can buy a lens hood for less than $.It does the job but expensive.

[0.4 lb] I bought the large TravelHood not for travel but to replace my Nikon 600E's carbon fibre OEM hood when shooting from my canoe/car where the 600+OEM hood can be cumbersome to work with since once the OEM hood is attached it's rather unforgiving. I'm hoping the TravelHood will be a little less restrictive in tight places. Although I've yet to actually use it I fully expect it will satisfy that purpose well enough. But more importantly what I found is that once the hood is attached you can actually slide it from the mounted position to the retracted position without unfastening it. The rubber gasket holds it in place when extended but it can be easily slid back to the fully retracted position without actually undoing the velcro fasteners. This is much more convenient than than unscrewing/screwing/unscrewing/screwing the OEM hood every time I'm in/out of the car or am pulling the hood in/out of the bag -- which for me is often. For that reason I plan on using the TravelHood all the time. Although it seems a tad expensive, it's well designed and, of course, it is a specialty item. Anyway, it's well worth it to me. RECOMMENDED as an effective replacement for the OEM hood, even if it doesn't look quite as professional. But if you're like me, functional always comes before looks!

[Nylon] Occasionally I travel with my 600mm lens and packing this is a no-brainer compared to the metal hood.  Lightweight, too.

[Nylon] Purchased to replace the original lens hood that had broken. Still attempting to repair the original, but the Travel Hood may be a permanent replacement. Very easy to attach and remove. Functions as intended. The Velcro allows for secure placement.

[0.4 lb] This lens hood works phenomenally. I just used it in Alaska shooting wildlife and I experienced no vignetting on my Nikon 200-500. It is compact and light, which makes it superior to the factory lens hood as the factory one is impossible to fit in any bag and unfit for travel.

[Nylon] Fits and works well. Leaving the hard hood at home allows me to carry on my 500mm with the rest of the kit.

[Nylon] Folds nicely for travel and replaces the extremely expensive carbon fiber hood -performing the same function without the worry of damaging the Nikon Hood
