Q: 1. Can this ZEISS Victory Harpia 95 hook up with Sony mirrorless camera body with E-mount? If so, what adapter should be used?

A: You will need (2) items. The Novagrade T-Mount Digiscoping Adapter BH #NOUA00T101 • MFR #UA-00T1-01 to position over the eyepiece. The Vello T-Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Adapter BH #VELANEXT • MFR #LA-NEX-T to attach to your camera body. Those (2) pieces will now screw together.

Q: 2. I have a Nikon D610, what kind of adaptor I can use to attach it to Pentax PF-80ED-A? Thanks.

A: As I have a Pentax DSLR I bought the PF-CA35 which replaces the eyepiece and is Pentax k-mount direct to the camera body. I think you can then get a k-mount to Nikon ring and that might work, hope that helps some

Q: 6. I have the Kowa Prominar 883. The TSN AS1.25K has male threads on its OD. I do not see where it would thread onto the scope. What am I missing?

A: It doss not thread into the scope. The side with the (2) retaining screws slip over the eyepiece and the retaining screws secure it to the scope.

Q: 7. Does it have field flattener?

A: There is no field flattener designed for then Pentax PF-80ED 80mm Spotting Scope

Q: 8. Hi, I have Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, what kind of adapter can use for this camera, for full frame pictures?

A: The Vixen Optics SLR Camera Adapter G will work with the Vello Lens Mount Adapter - T Mount Lens to Canon EOS Camera. Website link to Vixen: http://bhpho.to/29o5pgyWebsite link to T-Ring: http://bhpho.to/1l1cqn1

Q: 9. can this be used with TSN-EX16 Extender ?

A: The Kowa Neoprene Case for TSN-88A Spotting Scope, will not fit, if the TSN-EX16 Extender is used to extend the length of the eyepiece. The eyepiece cover section will still fit on the eyepiece section, but the user will not be able to secure the cover with the button, because the eyepiece section will be 4 inches longer.

Q: 10. Hey there,Questions...1. Can you attach this to a DSLR camera?2. I noticed there are some 1.25 lens attachments that have extra zoom... maybe a stupid question, as I'm buying this as gift, but does that extra zoom, give you an overall further zoom on the scope? We're looking at this for a travel astronomy telescope.thanks!!

A: To answer your questions.1. Not as it comes out of the box. It is possible to attach this to a DSLR but you would need an adapter to go from the 1.25 on the scope to whatever lens attachment your DSLR uses.2. With this scope you have to buy an eyepiece. The eyepieces come in fixed power and zoom from a variety of manufactures. Any zoom lens is going to have a certain range of magnifications it can produce, for example if it can zoom from 2x to 6x the lens is capable of a 3x zoom (this is a non-technical way of stating this). If another lens can zoom from 2x to 10x it has a 5x zoom. An extra zoom, sometimes called an extended zoom, sometimes called an wide range zoom, will generally give a wider range of magnifications than a standard zoom. To find out what magnifications a certain lens will provide you need to see what the minimum and maximum points it will produce are. These are not given in powers magnification since that varies depending on the objective size of the scope so you either compare mm points if they are in the same general area of magnification or do a bit of math to see what they produce when mounted to this specific scope body.Hope that helps. I use mine for travel astronomy as well as for land use and am quite happy with it.

[0.1 lb] First set it up on a dark day looking through the window and thought it was ok. Finally had sunny day and got wowed by how sharp the KOWA glass is. At night I could just make out the bands on Jupiter. I want to get the 1.6 extender. Shipping from B&H went perfect.

[0.1 lb] A great high power scope. A few points led me to this scope: -Lack of rubber coating. I often wonder how well the rubber protection coatings hold up after decades.
-Actual crystal lenses.
-The incredible focus system for fine adjustments and course adjustments.
-Dual tripod plate screws on foot.
-sights on the rubber sun shade for easier pointing

Fits well into my short distance walking birding trips. Would ideally complement this with a much smaller scope for backpacking. Nothing beats the resolution and low light quality.
I've seen other reviews complaining about the leather green bag it came in. I'm the opposite, it's the epitome of Japanese aesthetic for which country this is made in.
Cons include the lens covers seem extremely cheap and they don't include a nice string to attach them. Also eyepiece cover seems slightly too tight. it's leaving indentations on the rubber eyepiece.

[0.1 lb] Very precisely machined adapter giving a tight fit with 1.25 eyepieces.

Used with Kowa TP556, 500mm f/5.6 FL Telephoto Lens/Scope fitted with TP-88EC Prism Unit. I get sharp view at 183X with 3mm Radian eyepiece.

Starts vignetting slightly with 20mm 68degree EP.

[0.1 lb] I have the sibling, angled version, of the TSN-664M and decided that for certain applications, this straight viewing model was something I needed to have.

It seems at this time the TSN-664M and 663M are being phased out for a new model. I am hopeful this line won't go the way of the Dodo. I think Kowa is a premier spotting scope manufacturer, and this model is a great way to get into a premium spotting scope. My preference is the 30x wide-angle eyepiece. It is super comfortable for long-term viewing especially if you wear glasses.

You can't go wrong with the Kowa Prominar line.

[0.1 lb] This is one of the best scopes on the market right now. Excellent glass and wonderful viewing experience. Easy to dig-scope. Love the new lens objective cover design that keeps the cover in place! Huge improvement there. I have to agree with other reviewers that the plush green bags the scope and eye piece come in are of little practical use and I'd rather pay less for the product and skip those altogether. Or, if a storage bag is to be included, it should be one that is actually functional and protects the optics.
