[0.105 lb] Had to buy after I lost original one that came with lens. Blocks out extraneous light and can reverse mount it for storage purposes so that it is out of the way if you don’t need it. 5

[0.105 lb] Lens and body disconnected from tripod and falling over 5 feet, hit the deck of a dock. Lens hood broke into 2 large pieces, but both camera body and 500PF survived apparently undamaged. Even the front filter survived, and it costs more than the hood, so, at some level, it served me well. Another will be on order soon. 5
