Q: 1. I have a BMPCC with the MFT mount & a Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 with the EF mount. Will this adaptor work with my camera/lens combination? if not could anyone recommend a suitable adaptor? I have pasted a link to the adaptor below. Thank youa href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994969-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_mft_p_pro_micro_4_3_mft.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994969-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_mft_p_pro_micro_4_3_mft.html/a

A: Hello, I purchased this adapter about 6 months ago when I had a Panasonic GH3, so I cannot speak for the BMPCC. I tested the adapter with a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and the adapter worked as advertised. It turns all functions of the lens to manual operation, though, and I believe you lose one stop of light. The unit has a solid build quality and fit the lens and camera perfectly.

Q: 2. I have Rokinon Cine DS Full Cine Lens Kit with EF mount. Will this adapter make my lenses crop used with the new BMCPC 4k that has a full size 4/3 sensor?

A: It is the size of the sensor that determines the crop from some other sensor size, not the lens. These lenses can be used with any sensor full frame or smaller. Since the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K has a MFT sensor, any lens will have a 2x crop from a full frame sensor.

Q: 3. The picture shows some threads on the inside of the adapter. Does anyone know what size these threads are, and if they can be use to mount small filters?

A: Those are light baffles and are not threaded. They are meant to prevent stray light from bouncing around inside the adapter and causing loss of contrast.

Q: 4. Will this adapter work with my OM-D E-M10? If not can you recommend another adapter with iris control that will?

A: I don't think it will work on the e-m10 as it doesn't fit on the e-m1. Both have similar body shapes. No other recommendations except make sure any adapters say it works for your model.

Q: 5. will this work with the GH4?

A: The FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens Adapter with Built-In Iris Control for Micro Four Thirds Cameras is compatible with any micro four thirds camera: it is compatible with the GH4.

Q: 6. How will this adaptor affect Bokeh on say a Sigma 18-35 art lens?

A: The adapter would not affect the depth of field with the lens.

Q: 7. How many blades does the adjustable aperture have?

A: This adapter has 14 blades in the adjustable iris control on the FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens adapter with Built-In Iris Control for Micro Four Thirds Cameras.

Q: 8. Which Lens Adapter (on a budget) would you recommend for a GH3 body and Canon EF-S lenses? Are any available with Iris Control? Thanks

A: This particular FotodioX adapter for Canon EF to Micro Four Thirds is an excellent choice regardless of budget, and has iris control. You can use EF-S lenses with this adapter.

Q: 9. Does this adapter will work with lenses of apertures below f/2.8, like a 50mm 1.4 for example?

A: This adapter has its own iris so it does not use the lenses aperture control.

Q: 10. Will this adapter work with Micro 4/3 Olympus OM-D E-M1

A: No unfortunately it is not compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera due to the way the E-M1 is built.

[Yes] I think I’m getting infinity focus or slightly past it maybe, it focuses past the distant mountains, anyway the fear of not being able to hit infinity doesn’t seem to be an issue for me. Using Schneider Xenon 16mil lenses on bmpcc4k.

[0.45 lb] I shoot video mostly 720p & 1080p and I have several older C Mount Lenses. This adapter is great for putting them on my Z Cam E1 with a Micro 4/3 mount. The majority of my C Mount Lenses only cover a 2/3" sensor so the results on Micro 4/3 video are a cropped circle, top and bottom are OK, but left and right do show the circle.

I'm able to fix that in post by zooming into the area of the circle, so this is no big deal, BUT consider that in most cases you'll need to fix this in camera with a digital zoom or in post. To avoid loss of sharpness, I shoot one step higher in resolution when I'm going to crop in post. A few of the C Mount Lenses do fill the frame and there's no need for cropping.

[Brass, Metal] The fit is excellent on both the EF and MFT sides. Camera is oriented correctly adapting the EF version of the TTartisan 500mm f/6.3 telephoto to a E-M1 Mk III.

[0.45 lb] It fit really tight.. love the blue.. only works right with the doubler on, with the pocket 4k... unless you think you can use it as a scope look for a movie :)

[0.45 lb] The product is well made with subdued colors.
It fits perfectly with the OLIMPUS E-M1 mark III that I own, and the B4 lens can be firmly attached.
There is no metal rubbing, rattling, or distortion described in the reviews of low-end lens mount adapters.
You will have no regrets if you buy this product.

[Brass, Metal] I purchased this adapter to use my old 16mm C-Mount lenses on my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. The adapter itself is rather simple but that's all you need for C-Mount lenses. The construction is solid, the threading is smooth and the adapter fits tightly on my camera without any wiggle.

[Yes] No problems using this adapter on my BMPCC MFT camera. Works great with all of my manual rokinon cine lenses. Plus the adapters manual iris will allow you to use EF automatic lenses.
