Ideal for use in performance venues, broadcast houses, and broad-scale A/V installations, the Jensen Transformers Iso-Max DIN-LOD Line Output Isolatoris a passive, single-channel line output isolator designed to drive balanced and unbalanced audio signals over long distances, while eliminating hum caused by ground loops. The unit is plug-and-play with no power required, and snaps into place onto a standard 35mm DIN rail, for easy installation in a NEMA electrical enclosure.

The DIN-LOD features a high-performance Jensen transformer with internal Faraday shield that isolates the input from the output to reduce common-mode noise by as much as 110 dB. Furthermore, a choice of connection point options allows you to optimize the grounding circuitry to suit your specific installation needs. The unit is capable of withstanding input levels in excess of +22 dB at 20 Hz, without discernible distortion. It delivers an extra-high output level of +22 dBu with a flat frequency response from 2 Hz to 100 kHz.

Connections to and from the Iso-Max DIN-LOD are made via removable screw-down wire terminals. The module comes equipped with a gray molded assembly made from UL94-VO flame-retardant Noryl.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the 2.5mm end type A or type B?

A: Information about the CME WIDI DIN-5 MIDI Cable's wiring has not been made available by the manufacturer. It is intended to be used with the CME WIDI Jack Wireless MIDI-Over-Bluetooth Adapter, which allows switching between Type A and Type B.

Q: 2. We use 70V PA systems in our conference room. They have built amplifier and equalizer. Would this transformer go between the equalizer and the amplifier or between the amplifier and the speakers?

A: This transformer is used to send balanced or unbalanced line level audio signals over long distances. It would be placed between an equalizer and an amplifier.

Q: 3. LINE input or MIC input or both ?

A: Both.

Q: 4. How do we attach the Ronin2 mount on this thing?

A: A Ronin 2 can not be mounted directly to the Kessler Crane KillShock Isolator System unless it is mounted upside down so that the Ronin 2 can hand down from the mounting plate. If you were to mount the Ronin 2 in this way you can use the CineMilled R2 Main Mount for DJI Ronin 2 (BH #CICM021) to attach the Ronin 2 to the Kessler Crane KillShock Isolator System.

Q: 5. I'm looking for a way to reduce vibration while filming on a boat and am wondering if this could be mounted on a monopod?

A: The DigitalFoto Solution Limited HULK-ISO Shock Vibration Isolator has many mounting points that could be used with a MonoPod. The HULK-ISO will only help with motor vibrations and not the rocking and pitching motion of watercraft.

Q: 6. What is the weight allowed for this? Can it be used for Tilta Hydra Alien?

A: The CAME-TV Isolator Cradle GS14 bears 5.5kg and can be adapted to Tilta Hydra Alien.

Q: 7. Does it have to be used with a particular mount?

A: The DigitalFoto Solution Limited HULK-ISO Shock Vibration Isolator is a universal solution. However if you are attaching a DJI Gimbal like the RS3 Pro or RS2 to the shock mount you would need a gimbal base adapter BH #DIPDRS2 https://bhpho.to/3BtjbLM

Q: 8. Will this work on the Leica SL3?

A: The Tentacle Sync Tentacle to DIN 1.0/2.3 Cable (BH # TETD123C) will interface with a Leica SL3 camera. It feeds devices with a DIN 1.0/2.3 input, including the Canon EOS R5 C or Atomos UltraSync ONE TCG. You can also jam-sync any Tentacle device from an external timecode source with a DIN 1.0/2.3 connector.

Q: 9. will this work with a Canon C400?

A: Yes, the Tentacle Sync Tentacle to DIN 1.0/2.3 Cable is fully compatible with the Canon EOS C400 6K Full-Frame Digital Cinema Camera, which features 1x DIN 1.0/2.3 (Genlock, Return, Sync) connector and 1x DIN 1.0/2.3 (timecode) connector.

Q: 10. I'm thinking of purchasing this unit, but am curious to how you would connect it from your motherboard to PC speakers. I know it has RCA inputs/outputs, and would assume:- Speakers connect to the output?- Motherboard connect to the corresponding input?Only asking, as their website doesn't have an instructional/manual on this...Thanks.

A: The ART DTI will connect from your computers output jack to the RCA inputs of the unit using the correct cable. Output connections from the DTI will depend on the connections available on the speakers or other device to be connected.

[2 Hz to 100 kHz] There was a ground loop after I added the Parasound A21+ to my system. Using my Denon AVR 6500H as the preamp, there was a noisy signal traced to the ground midpoint on the DirecTV antenna cable at the home cable entrance. It is a difficult ground loop because the shield of the DirecTV coaxial cable carries the power for the roof antenna. It would not help to make a single star ground because there is always a length of powered shield between the home theater/stereo boxes and the outdoor grounded entrance (grounded there at the outside wall by electrical) code. Fortunately, the Iso-Max breaks the ground loop at the input the A21+, so other potential ground problems may be cleared as well. While I was very hesitant to add anything to the input analog signal path, this seems to be the best and most practical solution. So far, I do not hear any difference, no perceived distortion or loss of fidelity.

[2 Hz to 100 kHz] I have an Onkyo NR5008 serving as a preamp to a Parasound 2250 stereo amp driving my Left and Right channel Tekton Design Double Impact speakers (high sensitivity 4 ohm speakers). Due to the potential current draws, these are on separate 20 amp circuits. The Jensen CI-2RR removed all the hum without changing the tonal balance or shaving off the high frequencies based on REW measurements. Bought this based on the success I had with the Iso-Max Sub-2RR I use to connect the Onkyo with my 1,000 watt subwoofer amplifier (plugged into a third 20 amp circuit). Both Iso-Max units eliminated the hum without sonically damaging the signal which was not true for the less expensive isolating transformers I tried first.

[1] Solved the problem of the DirecTV receiver causing ground loop (because of the ground at the home entry). Using a Denon AVR 6500H as the preamp for Parasound A21+, placed the Jensen Transformers Iso-Max CI-2RR - 2-Channel Ground Isolator about a couple of feet from the Parasound RCA input and 3 feet from the Denon (all bluejeans LC-1 capbles). Dead silence now during quiet periods.

The good part about placing the isolation break at the input to the power amplifier is that the Jensen should still be effective should there be other ground problems now or later, beyond the Directv receiver.

[2 Hz to 100 kHz] It does what it's supposed to, providing good isolation. I haven't verified the specs (which are quite good) but I haven't noticed any audible degradation.
