The 77mm Benro Master Series 77mm 2-Stop Filterhas a 4x filter factor that provides a 2-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes multiple layers of antireflection coating. These coatings also offer greater protection to the filter substrate and help it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. The nano coating associated with Benro Master Series neutral density filters provides an additional 13th layer over each side of this filter, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.

This filter is constructed from SCHOTT B270 glass for increased optical clarity as well as color fidelity and features a brass filter ring for enhanced durability and to prevent jamming .

A: The manufacture does not list what is the widest lens usable before it vignettes. Averaging this from other brands chances are, it is best not to go more than 20mm or so with a full frame camera.

[77 mm] I've been trying to find a good case for my NiSi S5 kit and filters that would at the same time be lighter and more ergonomic than the leather case it came in but also give enough protection for me to put this in a day pack and take the filters with me without worrying they're going to break. I think this Benro case fits the bill nicely. I can fit my filter holder, CPL, 4 filters, and some extras like a lens cloth all inside. Works great so far. 5

[Brass] This is a great 100 mm filter holder for square or rectangular filters. It can hold 3 filters. Easy filter rotation with well designed rotation plate. The filters are held firmly, and yet, they can be slid and adjusted easily. 5

[0.15 lb] Long-time user of B+W filters. Worth every penny because they’re optically excellent! (Doesn’t make sense to put cheap glass over a thousand-dollar lens.) And I prefer the brass threads over the aluminum construction of other brands, and often more-expensive brands. I still have every B+W filter I ever bought, going back years! So I see this as a lifetime investment. I bought this filter for waterfall effects with my EOS R5, and wasn’t sure which density to get. Fortunately, this one, (a number 6), was perfect for that. (Lucky guess.) I have a B+W variable density filter that I’ve owned for years. It works perfectly on my DSLRs, so why buy a single-density filter, right? Because on my mirrorless cameras, which have electronic viewfinders, the EVFs seem to keep compensating the brightness, so it’s a little wonky to work with. (I’m sure there’s a workaround, but it’s just simpler for me to slap on a single-density filter.) Yes, I highly recommend this product! 5

[0.15 lb] A GLASS filter. High quality glass and coatings on filter. Filters are fragile and slippery and could be difficult handling filter in the field / outdoors in cold weather. Move slowly. Filter comes with its own pouch in a plastic case which should be sufficient if careful how you carry it such as in a photo bag, backpack, etc.; be sure other items are not pressing against the filter pouch as that could cause this filter to crack. Price is moderate for a 100mm professional filter compared to other high quality filters. 5
