The Eminence KAPPA-15C Mid-Bass Loudspeaker Driver is part of their American Standard Series and is designed to install into custom made or prefabricated speaker cabinets, that will accommodate a 15" (381mm) diameter mid-range driver.

The speaker will deliver up to 900W of power at 4 ohms and will adequately reproduce vocals, live musical performances, recorded music and other audio signals in professional sound reinforcement applications. Some of the many applications include sound reinforcement speakers for DJs, musicians, mid-size venues and nightclubs, stage monitors, and much more.

[80 oz] We use these in an auditorium for dances, seminars and everything in between. Paired with 18 JBL subs, they more than fill the bill. They are PHENOMENAL. Well-built, powerful, clear sound, zero complaints. May very well buy more for another venue. 5

[98.1] Finally got to use these at a gig just this weekend after purchasing them last summer. I've used them a bit before but really never have had a chance to really air them out and see what they can do. Wow. I had these outside up against a wall on a patio outdoors and had to provide audio for a wedding, both the ceremony and the reception. The ceremony itself was about 100 yards from the speakers. No problems at all, these handled that job with ease. I haven't invested in a subwoofer yet, and with all honesty I wouldn't get the Yamaha subs to go with this when I do (JTR Captivator 218PRO is 3dB down at 27hz for anyone reading this) but it really didn't matter at all. Once it was time to get down and boogie, these speakers brought it with crystal clarity. I still had a ways to go before distortion and we were just rocking the whole mountain valley in Lincoln, MT. Truly awesome speakers. No distortion at all at insane volume levels with some heavy dance music. Great bass and the mids/highs are crisp and clear. I can't recommend these enough nor the service I received here at BHPhoto. Top quality company and products! 5

[4 Ohms] For the price you cannot beat this speakers they are other brands in the similar price but i trust peavey they are crystal clear and have a deep bass and if you register them online you get 5 years warranty. 5

[3" (76.2mm)] This is a great replacement speaker in my drum monitor. I used it to replace a blown speaker in my drum monitor for onstage monitoring. I needed to replace 2 of them and they work out great and can handle the power that I am pushing to them so my drummer can here his kick drum over the vocals. 5

[17.6 lbs (8kg)] I purchased these speakers to replace the 12 inch woofers that were in two PA 121 cabinets originally sold by Mackie Industrial. These were manufactured by RCF in Italy and rebranded as Mackie. The original 12s had basically rotted away and were unusable. I emailed Eminence and they confirmed that this would be a good replacement choice. The build quality of these Eminence speakers is very impressive and professional. When it came to testing, I was very pleasantly surprised! Punchy lows, very clean mids. In my system I have the cabinets set up for bi-amping. The crossover point is set at 3000 HZ. I would describe the sound as very musical and accurate. I also own a pair of QSC K 10s. I did an A-B comparison and found that the Mackie speakers with the eminence 12s sounded very similar to the K 10s but a little cleaner and much, much louder. The efficiency and output level is almost unbelievable at this price point. (about 300w available to each 12 inch and about 50w to each horn) The first time I had an opportunity to use these speakers was at an outdoor 5K race as an announce system at the finish line. We were covering an area about the size of two football fields with several thousand people. The sound was great and the customer was very happy. It sounded like a much larger system. One additional benefit, the cabinets are now noticeably lighter than they were before. That's always a plus! I highly recommend the speaker; you will not be disappointed. 5
