The Heavy-Duty Tripod with Fluid Head - Prompter Peoplefrom Heavy-Duty Tripod with Fluid Head - Prompter Peoplesupports up to 30 lb and offers an adjustable working height of 20 to 67". A ground spreader is included and a rosette-mount pan bar comes attached to the head. An optional second pan bar can be mounted on the other side.

The tripod incorporates all the features required by broadcasters, including an advanced drag system that ensures smooth pan and tilt control, plus smooth stops and starts. The video head provides continuous drag on both the pan and tilt axes and has independent pan and tilt locks. The heat-treated aluminum tripod is rigid, stable, and designed to be shock-resistant.

A: Yes, the 75mm ball can be removed and have other video bowl systems adapted to the SmallRig AD-01 tripod unit.

Q: 5. How smooth is the fluid head movement compared to a Manfrotto 502?

A: The prompter people video head is very smooth but it does not have the tension adjustments that are available on the Manfrotto 502 head. If you are satisfied with just having 1 setting for pan/tilt tension this is a great package that is capable of holding almost double the payload of the Manfrotto (The Prompter People can hold up to 30lbs). However for people that like to adjust tension to accommodate super fast or super slow camera movement the adjustability on the Manfrotto head is very useful.

A: There is no adjustable counter balance on the SmallRig AD-01.

A: Currently there is no other pan handle available for the SmallRig AD-01 Heavy-Duty Tripod with Fluid Head. The supplied one is approximately 12" / 304.8mm.

A: Yes, this tripod offers a 100mm bowl mount for quick leveling.

Q: 9. Does the tripod come with a 3/8" connecting screw?

A: Yes it does. According to Prompter People the plate comes with a 1/4"-20 screw and a 3/8"-16 bushing. You will be able to use it with a product that has a 3/8"-16 thread.

Q: 10. Can the head take Manfrotto quick release plates?

A: No it can not.

[Fluid Head] The Tripod works great with PrompterPeople teleprompters. You do need to read the manual that comes with the teleprompter for setting it up. The teleprompter has a tripod adapter plate and the tripod has a standard tripod plate that you attach to the tripod adapter plate. Not sure why the earlier review said it does not fit, it fits incredibly snugly and will not move anywhere, also if there was an issue theres a bolt on the side of the lock for tightening down the lock. The fluidity is nice, nothing to rave home about, but it does the job for the price. The build quality is great, and it comes with a free bag which is a major added bonus. You honestly wont find a better tripod that can support this weight for a price this good, trust me Ive looked around. 5

[Fluid Head] I was concerned this would be heavier than my old tripods. And it is. Because it makes my old tripods look like toys. This is just a great piece of gear. Every time I take any of my cameras with me, this is in the car. Skip the lightweight aluminum stuff and buy a real professional TOOL. Couldn't be better. That's it. 5

[Fluid Head] So far it's very solid of a tripod. The fluid head is pretty smooth compared to the manfrotto 501. Definitely worth the price!! I'm super happy with it. 5

[Aluminum] Very sturdy and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fluid head that came with it. Works perfect with my heaviest cameras on my teleprompter and also works great as a nice set of sticks for everyday use. 5

[Fluid Head] ok, I'm a complete amateur and just getting started in video. I have done lots of real estate photography. This tripod seems to be wonderful. AND! I can afford it. Holds my 13 pound setup just fine. I love it. 5
