The single D.A.S. Vantec 18 is a passive, bass-reflex subwoofer system designed to provide extended bass response to the Vantec full-range cabinets, and is well suited for rental houses, bars, clubs, mobile DJs, or any pro audio application. The subwoofer offers a power handling of up to 4000W peak, which drives the 18" woofer (4" voice coil) mounted as a direct radiator. The Vantec 18 provides frequency response of 45 to 138 Hz with a peak SPL output of 134 dB.

The birch plywood enclosure is finished with black ISO-flex paint and includes two handles for ease in transport. The rear panel has two NL4 connectors for daisy-chaining additional subwoofers. The top of the enclosure features a pole-mount socket to accommodate speaker poles for full-range speaker placement.

[2x speakON NL4] I am powering the JBL 3181F with a Crown XLS1002 bridged at 4 ohms. While it doesn't get (or much) below 30hz, I never hear this subwoofer distort or bottom out. Its impact is thunderous and devastating. It took my home theater from amateur level bass to cinematic level bass. Best investment I've made so far in my home theater journey. Why try to replicate theater sound when you can purchase speakers made for it? 5

[Plywood] This thing does exactly what you want: switching RCA inputs seamlessly. I purchased this in order to toggle between my computer input and modular synthesizer input, which outputs to studio monitors. The knobs feel solid and the case itself is a tank. Very pleased with this product. 5

[134 dB (Peak)] If you are in a situation where you need inline stereo volume control this is the only unit worth considering. Build quality is a straight 10 of 10, audio signal path is completely pure and the chicken head knob gives it a tactile, classic feel. This is one of the best units I have ever used for volume control. The signal path is pure, the stepped volume adjustment ensures your LR signals are ALWAYS attenuated the same and introduces NO distortion. Forget about scratchy wiper pots, forget about wobbly knobs, no need for a clunky wall wart power supply just a volume knob when and where you need it. the Mute/Dim/Mono features are great editions to the unit as well. 5

[2x speakON NL4] we use this sub woofer at church with 4 zx1 90 by ev its lightweight easy to handle it packs a low that could cause ur ears to hurt if too close. theres nothing not great about it. 5
