[15 mm LWS] I bought this v-mount plate in part because of price and frankly was a bit worried that it didn't have the multiple points of contact like some of the other more expensive plates for sale. I shouldn't have worried. It's built incredibly solid, and the swing away is great to be able to have a second battery loaded into the camera just for peace of mind when filming.

[10° up/down] Hands down the Misfit Kick is the only matte box you will probably ever need. It is super versatile and extremely light in the clamp on version. BT has really nailed it with the One Tray options and the unique reveal feature to turn a 2 stage MB into a 3 stage without any tools and additional items. Well except for the third filter tray. I love this thing. I got it a couple weeks ago and can't wait to take it wherever needed. It's built like a tank. I expect it to last lifetime. Highly recommended. Frame safe adapters, add a swing away arm later on if needed, the flexibility of this system. Highly recommended. Well done BT!!

[10.9 oz / 308 g] Of course you have to pay, but Arri designs are second to none. The extensions are great for packing these down into your case, and smooth operation when you need to extend side coverage. A must if shooting with diffusion filters outside or near hard, sidey light sources.

[15 mm LWS] Well designed and well constructed. Thoughtful, considerate and nimble.
Beyond the quality of this one product I'd like to note how great this company is. I recently had a camera hit the ground on set. Shape didn't just respond to my email and sell me the henge that took the brunt of the fall, they called me, two or three times. They wanted to make sure they got me what I needed, not more, in a timely manner. Their attention and concern has made a fan into a loyal costumer for life.

[10° up/down] I have owned all the major brands of matte boxes over the years and I settle on ARRI. Best matte box on the market. If you do any kind of handheld work you will appreciate the lightweight, modularity, and of course quality of the LMB 4x5. The only thing I can complain about is the cost of the top flag for the 4x5, but you're going to buy it anyway so suck it up, lol.

[0.65 lb] I wanted to be able to change lenses without removing my matt box, this filled the bill. I believe it's overpriced considering the materials and design, but if you really need or want something enough, you pay.

[10° up/down] A full featured Matte-box for this price range? I can't find anything that comes close to this until you step into the 1k plus dollar range. I have a Wooden Camera umb-1 with the swing away arm and that cost 3x as much and similar quality(Shape being a high quality brand itself). There's others that have most of the features but with compromises, the tilta mb-T03 for example can't accommodate larger lens diameters for mounting.

It came with a nice foam molded insert that I just popped in a nanuk 915 case with a little plucking. If this came out a year ago I'd have bought two instead of getting the wooden camera Matte Box.

[10° up/down] Love this matte box. Bright Tangerine really thinks through all the problems and creates great lasting solutions.

[15 mm LWS] Beats the Misfit. Just feel the screws and tray slides and youll be glad you bought the Arri.
