Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What do you recommend for an area Swiss plate?

A: We do not currently sell an L Bracket for the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV but you can use a universal L Bracket such as this Desmond DAL-1 QR L Plate: https://bhpho.to/44FACEv

Q: 2. Uh1 card

A: The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV Mirrorless Camera with 14-42mm EZ Lens (Silver) has a single card slot compatible with UHS-I and UHS-II SDXC cards.

Q: 3. Can Converter lenses FCON-101, WCON-101 and MCON-P02 be used with the supplied ED 14-42/EZ lens? I read somewhere that a 14-42/ ll R lens is to be used instead !

A: The F-Con P01 and W-Con P01 can NOT be used with the 14-42EZ because they used a Bayonet style of Mount that was available on the NON EZ version of the :Lens. However The MCON-P02 mounts by screwing on to the Filter threads so it is compatible with the 14-42EZ lens

Q: 4. Is the body metal or plastic?

A: It is made of a combination of metal and plastic - from casual analysis of our model in the store, it appears that most of the bottom is made of a durable plastic, and some of the elements of the top/top plate are made of metal.

Q: 5. what are the 28scenes?

A: See Pages 36-39 of the E-M10 Mark IV manual at the following link https://cs.olympus-imaging.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/omd/man_em10m4_e.pdf

Q: 6. Can I use lenses from my Olympus E-PL1 with this camera?

A: Yes lenses from the EPL1 will fit the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV.

Q: 7. Weather sealed body?

A: The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is not a weather sealed camera.

Q: 8. Does this body support Dual IS?

A: NO

Q: 9. It says 3.5 microphone input? Where is it located?

A: Unfortunately, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV Mirrorless Camera does not have a microphone input.

Q: 10. Does external video recording allow you to go longer than 29 minutes?

A: Yes, it does. External recorders like ones from Atomos or Blackmagic bypass the camera's recording limitation, as well as provide several other benefits. :)

[1/4"-20 Male] I currently have 12 cameras including full frame, apsc and M43 bodies. The brands include Nikon, Pentax, Panasonic and Sony. This little beauty is the camera I use most often for casual walk-around shooting. I only shoot raw with my other cameras but this produces some of the nicest JPEGS, so it's the only one that I use mainly for JPEGs. The scene modes are effective especially the HDR for landscapes takes care of high-contrast scenes that are difficult to expose properly. The art filters are fun. There are a lot of settings to modify JPEGs. If you shoot raw, use the free Olympus Workspace software to process because it is really written to support Oly bodies best.

It is very light and the grip is better than any Olympus except for the E-M1 models. It is a delight to hold. The pancake kit lens is better than I expected although it really shines when paired with one of the many small Olympus primes. I especially enjoy it with the 25/1.8 and 60/3.5macro prime lenses. If the joy of photography is important to you, consider this camera even if there are more pro bodies out there.

[Black] My old camera that I started out with (Canon Rebel T5) broke over a year ago, and with quarantine due to COVID it was hard to find motivation to do anything. I finally decided to invest in a new camera, and I’m so glad I did. This camera has so many awesome features and the quality is incredible. I’m still learning different settings and such, but extremely satisfied with what I’ve already learned!

[Yes] I purchased a Olympus OM-D EM-10 a number of years ago. I was considering replacing the camera and looking at other smaller format cameras for hiking. I have several M-Zukio lenses which influenced my decision to stay with this camera. The body has improved significantly from the earlier versions. The controls are more like a full frame camera and much easier to use. The earlier versions required many setting changes through the on-screen menu (ISO, for example). Of course the sensor is greatly improved and the images are tack sharp from this camera.

[Black] I'm new to photography and chose this camera on recommendation from a friend. The appearance and build quality are superb. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to shoot in AUTO as I learn how to shoot manually. The UI is a little daunting, but with practice and quick study of the manual, it's fairly easy to pick up. I love my new hobby and this is the perfect camera for my skill level.
