The ARRI Diopter Frame 138mm Matte Box Accessoryfrom ARRI Diopter Frame 138mm Matte Box Accessoryallows for select 138mm diopters of up to +2 to be used in a lightweight matte box such as the ARRI LMB 4x5 or LMB-25. The frame features two 4 x 5.65" filter frames and fits into a 2- or 3-filter stage. A safety mechanism prevents the diopter from falling out of the frame, and two 1/4"-20 threads allow the frame to be attached to an articulating arm.

A: After purchasing both the MM4 mattebox by Movcam and the ARRI RotaPola, they fit. So the answer is yes, they will work together.

A: ARRI does not publish the extinction ratio for the ARRI Rota Pola Frame.

A: Yes, The ARRI 4 x 5.65" Anti Reflection Filter Frame should be a standard size filter holder that would work with the Tilta MB-T12 Mattebox.

A: I contacted ARRI concerning your inquiry. They state they do not have the filter on hand to measure, and while their website does not list the glass size measurement, they do believe it is a 4.5" filter. They state if you require the 138mm size, you need to go with a larger matte box and purchase the ARRI Rota Pola Filter Frame 6.6x6.6, B&H # ARK20017086.

[4 x 5.65"] I tested the focal length and it is right on. It's not clear to me whey movie makers need these big weak lenses. I needed them for a different type of project and this is the only source I've found for this type of lens. 5

[15 x 10 x 1"] I have owned all the major brands of matte boxes over the years and I settle on ARRI. Best matte box on the market. If you do any kind of handheld work you will appreciate the lightweight, modularity, and of course quality of the LMB 4x5. The only thing I can complain about is the cost of the top flag for the 4x5, but you're going to buy it anyway so suck it up, lol. 5

[2] Fantastic build quality, and great image quality. The locking mechanism is a nice touch for when you find your sweet spot. It's wildly expensive but it's ARRI, what did you expect? 5
