The 6.5' Vello Off-Camera TTL Flash Cord for Nikon (6.5')provides creative photographers with the ability to remotely fire Nikon flashes with i-TTL capabilities. Removing the flash from the camera's hot shoe allows the photographer to create unique and dramatic lighting styles that are not possible with a traditional shoe-mounted strobe. This coiled cord measures 6.5', which accommodates shooting with the flash mounted on a lightstand and with an umbrella, while staying in close proximity. Also, off-camera lighting reduces the harsh shadows commonly encountered with direct on-camera flashes and gives your photographs a more natural look.

One side of the TTL cable fits directly into the camera's hot shoe to ensure that all of the camera's exposure data is maintained. The other side has a metal foot with thread that can be attached to any stand, tripod, or device with a standard 1/4"-20 threaded stud or flash shoe mount, and the shoe has a locking knob to ensure your equipment is secure.

[0.55 lb] I am new to digital photography. I come from large format black and white. I recently purchased digital equipment except for my strobes circa 1980's. I am totally unfamiliar with all of the modern language of photography. I knew cords were no longer needed to sync strobes with my modern camera. [6 x 3.2 x 1.9"] I've only shot a few times with it in the field, but thus far, it works great. It lets me get my master flash a bit off camera. It makes a huge difference in the quality of light in most situations and allows me to use modifiers without covering the lens when macro shooting. 5

[6 x 3.2 x 1.9"] Nobody makes these cords with AF focus assist lights except Nikon SC-29 which is very expensive. but it seems mirrorless AF doesn't need the assist light, so its simple ittl connection offered. This shortest cord is great for normal event and photojournalist set-up at great price. I'll keep spare my sc29 for DSLR use. 5

[7.8 oz / 221 g] I bought this cord because I was having issues with my old cord and my Godox 685N flash. Once I go this cord everything started to work perfectly with my flash again. I like that the base is made of metal instead of plastic and that the locking mechanism for the hotshoe is tight. I would definitely buy this again. 5
