The Libec ZC-LP LANC Zoom Control Sony Canon Panasonic Camerasenables remote REC start/stop and zoom control for LANC-equipped Sony and Canon cameras, and it supports select Panasonic cameras. The zoom control clamps onto your tripod handle or any rod with a diameter from .39 to 1.77". It features a 2.3' long cable with a 2.5mm sub-mini plug for connecting and controlling your camera. In addition to the start/stop record button, the control unit comes with an invert switch that changes the direction of the zoom's response to the rocker. The zoom control also features a switch that allows you to change the protocol from LANC to Panasonic.

A: Unfortunately the only indication is through the cameras view finder or tally system that the camera is recording. No indication on the physical zoom control.

A: The Libec ZC-LP LANC zoom controller will control camera start/Stop recording. It will also control zoom when power zoom lenses are used.

A: Yes, the Libec ZC-LP LANC Zoom Control for Select Sony/Canon/Panasonic Cameras would support start/stop recording on the Sony FX6.

A: This remote can be used to trigger start/stop; not zoom

Q: 5. Does it work with panasonic hc-wxf991?

A: Unfortunately it does not. The HC-WXF991 does not have an input for a remote like this. This will not work nor are we aware of an alternative.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Sony FX30 Camera?

A: Lanc control cables are made for camcorders and some cinema cameras, but not the Sony FX30. To do this on the FX30, you need to use a mechanical or wireless follow focus system, to control the aperture, zoom, and focus of a lens.

A: The Libec ZC-LP LANC Zoom Control for Select Sony/Canon/Panasonic Cameras (B&H# LIZCLP) has a 2.5mm LANC plug that may be connected to the remote inputs for zoom control in cameras such as the AG-DVC30 and AG-DVC60 if set to put out a Panasonic protocol signal.

[Tripod Clamp] Works for zoom on a few different companies' worth of cameras, pretty smoothly and at a good default variable speed range. For 2/3rd more price, you get the legit Sony one which offers focus control and different speed settings as well, but having used both, the Libec is totally great for the zoom job, and it's unlikely anyone's really depending on those little focus buttons on Sony's... 5

[0.375 lb] my several years old canon g30 was zooming by itself ,, and after reading up on how to fix it ,, some reviewer recommended this Libec zc-lp,, so i ordered this .. and it works great and better than the zoom of the videocam itself.. to control the slow to fast zoom better .. so far i like it and glad it works with the new g70 too .. and save me some aggravation of trying to fix the g30 .. 5

[0.375 lb] I use this zoom control with my Panasonic HPX 170. I find I can feather the zooms better that with the camera zoom rocker. Well designed and built. I am very pleased with this product. 5

[Tripod Clamp] I got this for my Panasonic HC-X1500 and it works great. The directions were wrong and I had to select the LANC protocol instead of Panasonic. Other than that, its perfect. I use it on a tripod and it also fits on a Gimbal Stabilizer. You don't need to make any changes on the video camera. Simply plugin it into the Remote input and its ready. 5
