A: The mic input on the BOYA EA2L is a 3.5mm TRS connector which delivers two channels of audio (left and right). Most microphones that use this type of connector provide a dual mono output which means that the audio on both channels is the same. In general, most microphones are dual mono unless they are dedicated stereo microphones with two separate mic elements designed to pickup different sounds on the left and right. So the type of connector used on the microphone does not determine the pickup pattern of the mic.

A: Apple doesn't state you have to use their original USB Type-C adapter cable for compatibility. This adapter should work with an iPad Pro with a USB Type-C port.

Q: 5. Plugged in both (verified) monitors, inserted mini HDMI into laptop. Nothing. Laptop does not "see" either monitor. Laptop previously "saw" a single monitor through its full HDMI port. Tried rebooting. Nothing -- help?

Q: 6. Responding to last question's answer - I am using a music device that outputs a stereo signal to microphone inputs over 3.5mm TRS, I am definitely not using a dual mono mic. I am a music producer and can easily check if a signal is stereo or not in my DAW, and have tried everything. I am 99% sure that this adapter's microphone input sums all audio to mono, even if the input jack is 3.5mm TRS and the input signal is stereo. Many cheap USB to 3.5mm TRS adapters do this? They output stereo audio to headphones but sum input audio to mono, but your previous answer implied that it didn't sum to mono, which is why I bought it. Through my other audio interface, I am easily able to record in stereo from this same device through 3.5mm TRS, but it is big and not portable at all.

A: If you are using the BOYA EA2L Microphone to USB Adapter with a music device that outputs a mic level stereo signal and not using a microphone, then the stereo audio from your device is very likely being summed to mono output. [1x USB-C Male] I keep coming back to the j5create gear because it works as it is supposed to every time. I recently bought another brand of VGA adapter that again the second time did not work and had to send it back. If you want quality and something that works spend the extra buck or two and buy j5create devices. I now have three of these VGA display adapters and a docking station. All are performing as they should. 5
