Ideal for the trail or boat, the Sun Optics 7x35 WP Porro Prism Binocularsutilizes a traditional Porro prism optical path with fully multi-coated optics and a wide viewing angle to provide users with bright and clear high-contrast views with accurate color rendition and a rich depth of field, for a truly immersive experience. Its wide viewing angle, coupled with a comfortable exit pupil and long eye relief, helps to minimize the disorientation often felt by boaters when glassing on rolling or pitching water.

Complementing the optical performance is a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis that is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant armor. Raised palm-pads improve grip comfort and grip security. Each optical tube is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, I want to know that in the description AAoV is mentioned 65.4 degrees but in the specs, it is 8.2 degrees. It is correct or different?

A: It's simply the different values produced by the calculation for apparent field of view and those for calculation of the actual field of view. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 2. are these FULLY MULTICOATED lenses?

A: Yes, the Opticron 6x30 Savanna WP Porro Prism Binoculars feature Fully Multicoated lenses.

Q: 3. Is this model made in Germany?

A: No. All Leica Trinovids are produced and manufactured in Leica's Portugal factory.

Q: 4. What is the best way to clean the body of the binoculars? The are getting sticky an dont feel like new. Is water ok, with soap?

A: Regarding the best way to clean the body of the Leica 7x35 Trinovid Classic Binoculars, see the information from Leica below: CARE/CLEANING • Your Leica product requires no special care. • Coarse dirt particles like sand can be removed with a soft brush or simply blown off. • Fingerprints, etc. on front lenses and eyepiece lenses can be pre-cleaned with a damp cloth and then wiped dry with a clean leather or lint-free cloth. • Do not use alcohol or chemical cleaning solutions on the optics or housing. • Do not use excessive force when cleaning a severely soiled lens surface. The coating is abrasion resistant, but not impervious to sand or salt crystals. • The housing should be cleaned using a damp leather cloth only. Using a dry cloth may cause friction, which may result in a static discharge. • Always rinse off any traces of salt water! Dried salt crystals could damage the surfaces. • The device should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool place to prevent fungal growth (particularly important in humid climates).

Q: 5. What are the internal dimensions of the case?

A: The Opticron Ballistic Nylon Case for 50mm Roof Prism Binoculars is about 6.5x6x3 inches inside.

Q: 6. Is this binocular fog proof and waterproof like the Kowa 6x30 YF ?.

A: The Opticron 6x30 Savanna WP Porro Prism Binoculars are not fog or water proof.

Q: 7. Difference between Bushnell 8x 42 WP Legacy and Bushnell 8x42 H20 Porro binocular?

A: The Legacy's are just slightly better quality. The coatings are better on the model, also the construction is more durable. I personally would recommend the Legacy's, also because they are better in low light settings. The Legacy's have a 8.2 Angle of View verses these H20 Porro's only have a 7.8 degree Angle of View. Overall the Legacy is a better binocular. It's a higher series.

Q: 8. Do these have the tripod screw hole?

A: Yes they do.

Q: 9. How much do the binoculars weigh?

A: Approximately 1.75 lbs.

Q: 10. how far can one see with them?

A: Hi Marjorie. These binoculars will magnify objects you are observing 7 times. In other words, the object will appear 7 times closer or larger. The optics used are very good and the image they produce is very clear. So if you combine magnification with a clear image, you will be able to make out detail you could not see with your eyes alone. So the question is not how far you can see but rather how much better you can see an object than with your eyes alone. For instance, with your eyes, you may see a bird in a tree 100 yds. away. With these binoculars, you will be able to tell the species of the bird. Hope this helps

[Yes] Easy to take out at a moment's notice to stargaze under urban/suburban light pollution as a person who wears glasses. I have used them handheld and was quickly able to see double stars and star clusters in the summer sky. Saw epsilon lyrae as two stars, but couldn't resolve into the quad.

I love that the lens covers on both the front and back sides are attached to the binoculars or to the basic neck strap. Makes taking them out for short viewing windows hassle-free. I don't need to worry about where I set them down and finding them again in the dark. Since getting these binoculars I've gone out onto my porch, even in not the best of conditions, just to see what I can spot. It has made stargazing fun and accessible again.

Highly recommend for someone looking for a decent pair of beginner stargazing binoculars.

[5 mm] Great Binoculars. I used it for the first time to look at boats and Rottenest Island across Cottesloe Beach in Perth WA and I am very pleased with the product. It's very clear. Definitely recommend the product. I have experienced the best service and best price from B&H. Received the product within 10 days of purchased. Definitely will shop at B&H again.

[7x] I ordered these from B&H in mid-March and am totally please with them. The 8x is great for most folks and are about the limit for steady holding, at least for me. The rubber cover is terrific for all weather grip and the O ring seals should keep them water proof when I am out in the weather. The focus is a bit stiff but I attribute this to the O ring seals. They focus to about 18’ which make them OK for birding, but is you need closer focus the Bushnell Legacy series is also great, and yes I also have the Bushnell Legacys. The Bushnell 30% back March rebates make these Bushnells a can’t miss value.

[-2 to +2] Bought these for casual birding. Good optics at a great price (though still waiting on a $ rebate). Little on the heavier side, but the water and fog proofing make up for that, in addition to the generous eye relief. At this price, porro is almost always a safer bet than roof (no phase correction until you go well above $+).

[-2 to +2] Super clear with enough magnification for a variety of uses.
Rubberized coating with convenient front and back caps ensures superb protection. A padded zipper case and strap complete the package.
A great price for excellent optics and convenience.

[35 mm] Replaced a similar Bushnell model I had dropped and damaged. Clarity and focus are excellent. I have trouble with other styles being too narrow to fit my eyes. These are just right.

[35 mm] I purchased this to place on my Fanny pack to hold my binoculars for birding. I’m a photographer and carry my camera, monopod, and stool with straps and needed to get my binoculars off of my neck because they’d always get tangled with my camera strap and every other strap including my sunglasses strap.

My zeiss binos fit perfectly inside which allows me to access them quickly without getting tangled in my other straps.

[2.145 lb] These binoculars give a tack-sharp view extending to the edge of the FOV. The extra-long eye relief makes it possible to wear thick eyeglasses (with twist up eyecups in any position) and still get the entire FOV. The image from these compares favorably with any of the binoculars that I have. If you are looking for a good 7x50 with long eye relief and sharp image quality, check these out.
