Measuring only 9.4" in length the Sun Optics 3-9x40 Shorty Forty II Riflescope BDC Matte Blackcan make a versatile addition to your tactical or hunting gear. With its 40mm objective, this riflescope is able to collect enough light in most lighting conditions (even dusk or dawn) to provide bright and crisp images. The optical elements have been ground and polished with high tolerances to deliver crisp edge-to-edge image clarity and detail. They were also treated with wide-band full multi-coatings to reduce reflections and glare and to increase total transmission and resolution. In the second optical plane, lies the BDC reticle, which features four posts and a crosshair with ballistic and wind markings. The reticle is provided to help you get a precise aim and to compensate for ballistics, winds, and target movement. With the help of adjustable objective parallax corrector (AO), you can aim parallax-free from 10 yd to infinity.

The lightweight and durable aluminum housing is compatible with 1" mounting rings and completely protects the optics from moisture and internal fogging. It also features knurled parallax corrector and zoom ring and windage and elevation caps.

[3 to 9x] I have never got on with rifle scopes but the crossfire bundled with my rifle leading up to deer season had crystal clear glass and made taking my first deer nice and easy. BZ, vortex. Keep it up 5

[40 mm] Vortex optics always have clear glass and this scope is no exception. The adjustment knobs are crisp and well labeled. Installation was simple and the instruction booklets have plenty of information without overwhelming. The lens cloth is also great as it is a decent size (not a 2 x 2 square). 5

[40 mm] Got this scope as a package deal with 300 win mag. Was not happy with the 3x9 so I bought the dimondback tactical 6x24 . I have 4 vortex scopes and would not part with a one. 5

[40 mm] This scope is probably overkill for a Ruger 10/22, but it's a nice clear scope with decent eye relief, and the V-Brite red dot in the middle of the reticle makes it useful at night, without having to drain the battery to use the scope in daylight; best of both worlds. Vortex has just about the best deal on quality illuminated scopes. 5

[3 to 9x] I researched a lot of scopes before purchasing this one and I am very happy. There are more expensive scopes on the market that are comparable but, Vortex offered a LIFETIME Warranty which makes a Big difference. Awesome scope works like a Champ 5

I placed my order just days before Christmas and the package was delivered to my home in SC just two days later. [3 to 9x] I won a 334 Stevens walnut rifle. I installed a 3x9-40 Crossfire ll. It zeroed on target right away with no problems. Plus the 334 Steven shot great ,I was very surprised of the rifle. 5

[3 to 9x] I put the accupoint on a Sako 338 Fed for woods hunting. Nice bright, clear glass. Center-dot lit reticle is perfect for getting low light fast shots off. Mildots make long range shooting possible and accurate. Over-all great scope. 5
