[5 VDC, 2 A] I have this switch set up to allow me to switch between a Retina MacBook Pro and my tower gaming PC with Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card, and it performs the job very well. Previously I had a similar setup using an IOGear DVI+USB KVM switch between MacBook Pro and my older tower PC, with just a DVI-to-DisplayPort adapter on the video cable to the Mac. For the new setup I bought a DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable for the Mac (could have used an adapter but the cable was $10 and it's less... lumpy... this way.) I've only been using it for a week or so, but it's working great! Comes with all cables, which seem to be solid quality, and fully bus-powered - small and light but seems well made. The older IOGear DVI+USB2 switch wasn't as expensive as this when it was new, but I guess that's the price I pay for going 4K. I did my usual research on all available DisplayPort + USB switch options before selecting this one, and I'm pretty sure I made the right choice here. If you're trying to drive a 2K or 4K monitor from two DisplayPort-equipped machines and share a mouse and keyboard between them, this is the ticket.

[4.9 lb] I have had this product for nearly 3 years - simple to set up, switches between Mac & PC with two 2560x1440 displays and logitech wireless mouse / keyboard. Super easy to use - couldn't have hoped for a more trouble-free better product.

[5 to 90%] I used this for a tight environment where a server was right up close with a video-camera monitoring system. This device makes it really easy to leave the cameras up, and just switch over to the server when I need to work on it. The small remote-button can be placed where it's convenient, instead of having to figure out how to get the KVM itself to be placed where it's reachable. I've bought several of these, over the past few years, and am always happy with them.

[4.9 lb] So far so good. We have this installed with 4 of our computers and use this to manage 8 inputs in our virtual studio. Very happy to have this all be managed with one mouse and keyboard!

[5.4 Gb/s] I would recommend this to anyone with dual monitors and two pc’s. The only issue I had was that Windows 7 kept adjusting the displays when I switched between computers. It was a real annoyance to find all my windows, icons and screen resolutions messed up every time I switched. I finally after about a week of annoyances found a setting in my catalyst control center to disable display polling which fixed the problem for me.

[5 to 90%] Switch worked perfect out of the box. It was purchased mainly to take care of workstation and laptop being connected to the same monitor (ASUS) through DisplayPort. Bonus - now I can use same keyboard. Works great so far.

[5 to 90%] Since I only needed this for video and keyboard, I haven't tested the way in which it handles audio. But for my needs� (switching between Mac Pro 5,1 and a Macbook Pro) it works fine. I did need two adapters to go from Display Port to Mini Display Port.

[5 VDC, 2 A] Having compared prices between this KVM with others, I was taking a risk by not knowing will this switch validate such a price gap from its cheaper competitors.
Outcome? Well worth it! As instructed, I used wired connections for my keyboard and mouse and everything connected without a problem. The switch easily and quickly moves between my four computers (3 PCs and 1 Mac). The keys and mouse as well as video perform perfectly.
When I had to reconfigure my office everything had to be unplugged. When I set everything back up, my monitor displayed "HDMI Out of Range" for all my computers. Not good. Went on to the website and found an excellent video that instructed me on how to reset my switch. I followed the video's very clear audio/visual instructions and everything works again!
Thanks Startech for making a very good product that met the expectations I had with its price. Then, also for putting together an excellent website with the resources needed to allow me to correct my problem.
