Q: 4. can I trigger godox AR400 with godox Xpro wireless flash trigger?

A: No, not directly, as there is no radio receiver built into the Godox AR400. However, the Godox XT-16 Wireless Power-Control Flash Trigger 2.4G (Transmitter and Receiver) (B&H# GOXT16) can be used because the XTR16 (i.e. radio receiver) from it is physically connected to the AR400 and it receives the signal from the XT16 transmitter to fire.

Q: 6. Interested in using this for shooting interior architectural spaces that are dimly lit and on the larger size. Any approximation of how far it will cast light?

A: There is no equation to figure put how far and powerful the light from the Godox Witstro Ring Flash AR400 will go because it will depend on the exposure your camera is using and how far the light source is away from the subject.

Q: 7. Will the Canon EF 24-70 f2.8 Mark 2 that has a 82mm filter fit into the ring of the AR400?

A: Unfortunately, the Godox Witstro Ring Flash AR400 is not compatible with a lens with such a wide filter diameter of 82mm.

Q: 8. Will this godox wistro ar400 fit the sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro lens which has a filter ring of 72mm but I believe the overall diameter is closer to 79-80mm. Will it fit?

A: The ringlight can be used with a D5300. It does not come with a cable.

Q: 10. The responses are confusing, one answer says the limit inside the unit is a 72mm lens, while other responses state that both 77mm and 82mm lenses will also fit in the ring. Which is it?

A: I've just checked for you. The 77mm limit is the more consistent result. The inconsistency comes from there not being a specific filter sized limit. The Diameter is approximately a little larger than 77mm. I've tried a couple of 82mm lenses and they don't fit at all. With 77mm filter threaded lenses, some fit fine, others were real tight. So I would say anything 77mm and under in diameter would be ideal. But it's entirely dependent on the diameter of the lens overall.

[Base Mount] I had been searching for an affordable ring lite that could be used with medium format, and the Godox AR400 had everything—with the exception of TTL—that I had desired. It's a powerful unit that can be used for fill flash in addition to macro. It does require the addition of an inexpensive Godox XT-16 transmitter/receiver for it to be triggered by the camera, but the combination works reliably.

[Modeling Light] I'll have to say this is one awesome ring flash. Very powerful and extremely quick recycle time. Unit is not small by any means but does work well in hand-held mode once you get used to it. Very versatile flash that can also be used with umbrellas, on a light stand or with camera on a tripod. Well work the price.

[5600K +/- 200K] I use it to do photographs for a costume jewelry manufacturer. The flash was easy to set up and gives good and consistent results. I combine it with a light box and have it trigger two mono-lights.

[5.345 lb] Creates great images. I've found the battery next to impossible to remove, in fact, thus far impossible. I prefer to recharge batteries that are not installed. It is quite bulky with camera and lens making handholding awkward and tripod mounting risky. Manual focus (focus stacking) is not possible since the focus ring is inside the light unit; however, with the ability to shoot at f40, there isn't much need to focus stack. It gives a different look and despite my seemingly unfavorable comments, I do love what it does.

[5600K +/- 200K] This 400ws ring flash is just what you need for shadowless portraits. It has the power to let you shoot wide open for that short depth of field which makes everyone look better. The only downside is the bulk; if you're looking to build muscle, forget the tripod and get the bicep exercise of a lifetime.
