Add a simplex singlemode or OM3 LC Camplex fiber optic tactical cable and you're ready for high quality DVI signal transmission in any long distance environment.

The CMX-DVI-TR fiber converter extends your DVI signals at resolutions up 1900 x 1200. The micro size of the transmitter and receiver are easily mounted to the back of a laptop, PC or the output on a presentation switcher. And best of all, using a Camplex fiber-based system ensures nearly zero signal loss over long distances. A unique feature of the CMX-DVI-TR is its EDID learning capability. A simple press of the EDID button will ensure signal compatibility to make sure your signal is always on.

A: Yes, the best cart I have used I do a lot of shows and stores real nice in my van.

Q: 5. Is there a delay when using this extender? If so, how much?

A: There is no noticeable delay when using the Comprehensive CHE-1 1-Port HDMI Extender over Single Cat 5e/6.

Q: 6. I have a Mac Pro Tower, i want to send signal from my computer(dvi) to atem pro 4k. either 1080p60fps or 30fps. Will this be able to do these formats ? I want it to match with the studio camera. how do you change the output signal ?

A: I did buy this but ended up using a HDMI to SDI connector for this task from a MBP laptop and Mac Mini. I used a Black Magic Mini Converter HDMI to SDI. I then used a SDI to Thunderbolt to send video back to each machine. Search on B&H for Blackmagic Design CONVMBHS2

Q: 7. Will this work on the normal RS2 plate?

A: The unit is specifically designed for the Manfrotto extender plate.

Q: 8. I'm having issues transmitting a 1080i60 signal from a PTZ camera, other transmitters adjust the signal to 1080P which my switcher doesn't like, does this change the resolution and refresh rate as well, or does it deliver the same signal it receives?

A: It will send out whatever signal you put in (within the compatible resolutions): It supports: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 480p, 480i

A: The Gefen EXT-DVI-FM500 DVI FM 500 Extender BH #GEED500 supports fiber cables with these specifications: Duplex, LC-terminated, Single-Mode or Multi-Mode (OM1 (62.5/125‚µm), or OM2/OM3/OM3e/OM4 (50/125‚µm)) The BH #CACMX2LC0250 is a good option.

Q: 10. Is this transmitter compatible with HDBaseT-capable projectors? Specifically the Hitachi CP-WX5505?

A: It is not. This is not an HDBase-T product.

[1.385 lb] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great. 5
