The Acebil ST-7R Shoulder Adapter DC-CS1 Cable Sony HVR-A1Jis designed to enhance your use of the Panasonic AG-DVX200 4K Camcorder in both shoulder- and tripod-mounted modes. In either mode, access to the camera's viewfinder, controls, and connectors remain unimpeded. Using a V-mount battery on the ST-7R Shoulder Rig's rear plate counterbalances the weight of the camera, and the padded shoulder mount provides a comfortable fit. Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the rig provides four DC outputs and three built-in CamTap BNC outputs. The ST-7R Shoulder Rig is compatible with the Acebil CS-382 or CS-482 tripod systems.

A: This cable is designed to work with Acebil Zoom Remotes. It may not work with a Sony Remote and we cannot recommend it.

A: There is not, you would need to use a V-Mount battery with this system.

A: Sorry for the delay in answering. While I can't say for sure about every combination of cables and devices, Sony's adapter cables for the Multi Terminal are intended to allow use of LANC devices and this is why I purchased one of these..

Q: 6. Does this shoulder adapter include the DC-DVX200 cable to go to the camera or is that a separate purchase?

A: This shoulder adapter will not include the DC-DVX200 cable. That is a separate purchase, which we offer as well.

Q: 7. Does this support all functions on the Sony A7-series of cameras?

A: When connected with a A/V R control, we are of the opinion that the record on/off function will probably work in the camera's video and photo modes. For greater control use the Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Control. See attached. You can also wirelessly control the camera via your smart device with the Sony PlayMemories app. You can shoot tethered with your computer as well with the PlayMemories app.

Q: 8. Is there a danger of breaking the camera with the battery v mount?

A: Once safely secured in this adapter, your camera should be better protected than on it's own. We do not see any particular danger to the camera coming from the V-mount battery.

A: no it will not work with the UX-180

A: We are of the opinion that AG-DVX200 batteries can only be charged in a separate charger; there is no battery charging in the camera that we can find. Thus the V-Mount battery is just supplying power. Panasonic and we suggest that you have a AC-DVX200 in the camera in case the external power is ever interrupted.
