A: No, the output connector on the Rode receiver in the Filmmaker Kit is a locking 3.5mm connector so the Kopul CMX-RC30 is not going to stay connected since it has non-locking connectors on both ends. [Black] Bought for my Sony FS7 and on-camera mic. There's a lot of stuff that can go on a camera and cables always get in the way. Previous to this I had a cable that (even though very short) was always getting in the way. The length, along with the coiled design makes it absolutely spot-on for my needs. If you have any sort of camcorder/pro camera that requires an XLR cable, get this one - you will love it! 5

[Black] So glad I got this after I kept putting it off, with thoughts of another cable with my same drawbacks. Yes, my Canon XA50 camcorder with audio XLR inputs in handle is perfect now! My previous 40cm XLR high quality cable was as good as it got, the connection out of my shotgun mic extended near the top handle and the cable had to twist around to do a right angle into the handle input. It was clunky and got in the way with certain movements. It wasn’t terrible, yet after using this new coiled lightweight cable with low profile connections it basically as if I just have a shotgun mic and no cable at all. Allowing me a huge amount of confidence to move my camera without anything getting in the way. No perceivable sound quality issues with the thinner cable. If you have any camcorder/camera with XLR inputs built in I cannot recommend these high enough. I’m not a cablephile I am a pragmatist when it comes to function, I’ll pay extra for that cable that works. 5

[0.55 lb] This short but flexible cable cleaned up my Sony camcorder mic situation. I use a long shotgun mic that I had a short, heavier gauge cable with straight connectors. With the angle connections and coil cable the cable factor disappeared. It feels as if the connections are solid but only time will tell. I don't plan on pulling on it but I think it would do well...enough confidence for professional work. 5

[Black] Using this engineering marvel on broadcast handheld cameras eliminates the dreaded 10 foot “that’s the shortest one this truck has” xlr cable foisted upon an innocent camera operator by an uncaring A2. The low profile connectors are adjustable with the included Allen wrench. The coiled jumper stays in place and out of the way. Please enjoy. 5

[0.55 lb] I mount the NTG 4+ to a Rode Mount on the from pod of the XF605 as an alternative to the supplied Canon Shotgun mount ( Because ) the Canon mount is semi permanent and sticks out to far too the side and prevents it from fitting in many bags. As an added Bonus there Rode Mount has much better Suspension 5
