Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the 6x Litepanel 1x with soft box?

A: Yes, it will, thou you will need to use a counter weight. I also wouldn't extend the thin last arm, just the main one. I've used it with a ad600 and a 38 softbox with no problem. YOu can always go with the bigger version if space isn't a factor.

Q: 2. What is the folded length with the boom off?

A: Closed length is 42 inches ( without the casters )

Q: 3. does it come with the clamp set as pictured?Product Highlight description and What's in the Box list don't agree.thanks

A: The version I bought came with the sand bag with clamp and boom as pictured. I liked it so much, I bought another set. So now I have two.

Q: 4. when you say 26-60" extension, is that measured from the stand or does it include the counterbalance part?

A: Its 26-60" from the hook for the counter balance, to the tip of the 5/8" stud. This is not measured from the stand.

Q: 5. Do you sell the back plastic panel or know who would for this speaker? Also the full speaker replacement 15” 1000w

A: You can contact D.A.S. Audio for replacement parts. You can reach them by phone at 305-436-0521 or 888-327-4872. The US office is based in Miami, Florida and business hours are Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM.

Q: 6. How do I attach a second reflector holder

A: Basically you will have to use "A" clamps.

Q: 7. Where can I find a replacement driver for this speaker?

A: We do not sale replacement parts for this speaker, your best option is to contact Electro-Voice directly they will be able to further assist you. Electro-Voice Tel: 800-392-3497 or 866-782-8346

Q: 8. Can you attach a camera to this boom arm?

A: I have attached a ballhead and a camera to this boom arm. You will need to counter balance it though. Do Note it is real sensitive to any vibration in this configuration.

Q: 9. Can this be folded up or does it have to be dissembled each time for travel?

A: The stand can fold, but the boom will need to come off.

Q: 10. Its rated for a max load of 5 lbs, are they being conservative or is 5 really all it can handle?

A: I use it for a Paul C Buff X3200 which is 7.l lbs and it's OK. Not at full extension, but I don't need the reach.

[2" (50.8mm)] I purchased these speakers to replace the 12 inch woofers that were in two PA 121 cabinets originally sold by Mackie Industrial. These were manufactured by RCF in Italy and rebranded as Mackie. The original 12s had basically rotted away and were unusable. I emailed Eminence and they confirmed that this would be a good replacement choice. The build quality of these Eminence speakers is very impressive and professional. When it came to testing, I was very pleasantly surprised! Punchy lows, very clean mids. In my system I have the cabinets set up for bi-amping. The crossover point is set at 3000 HZ. I would describe the sound as very musical and accurate. I also own a pair of QSC K 10s. I did an A-B comparison and found that the Mackie speakers with the eminence 12s sounded very similar to the K 10s but a little cleaner and much, much louder. The efficiency and output level is almost unbelievable at this price point. (about 300w available to each 12 inch and about 50w to each horn) The first time I had an opportunity to use these speakers was at an outdoor 5K race as an announce system at the finish line. We were covering an area about the size of two football fields with several thousand people. The sound was great and the customer was very happy. It sounded like a much larger system. One additional benefit, the cabinets are now noticeably lighter than they were before. That's always a plus! I highly recommend the speaker; you will not be disappointed.

[6.8 lbs (3.1kg)] I had heard of DAS before but I had no idea that they had something other than Line Arrays. This sounds like a REAL Das setup at a size I can take with me to all event. Really worked out for me

[8 Ohms] This equipment was waiting for me when I reached the session site. It went together easily and brought the versatility I was looking for. It is stout and stable with counterweight when shooting outside. It became the main light for the bulk of my shooting after an accident. The one thing I feel needs an upgrade is the casters as they twist on the legs and aren’t large enough to handle slightly bumpy terrain

[6.8 lbs (3.1kg)] I got these for my Home theater, I have 7.2 system and use these as my back high speakers. I wanted a clean look so I opted for ceiling mount speakers. I picked these because I’ve had a great experience with Tannoy speakers in the past, and they are directional.

[38oz] I use this to boom a mic and a hair light for sit down interviews and it's perfect. I use in combination with Matthews Maxi light stand to replace my c-stand setup. My god what time and weight saving! I can throw this into my light stand bag and set it up in seconds.
