[24,736] It's worth it for the stunning acoustic and electric pianos alone (each of which would cost far more than this entire collection), but it's really nice for producers to have even more unique sounds of rare and exotic instruments (with bells, tines, and plucked sounds), all with great FX. And as if that's not enough, those of us with Spectrasonics Omnisphere enjoy the integration into that VST with a horde of already crafted patches that meld the two.

[24,736] a great closely MICed string ensemble. great for small orchestra work. Definetly a learning curve to figure things out, but rewards when you do.

[24,736] I own many piano libraries as well as a real Steinway B so I was not expecting Keyscape to be as good as it is. I have not had time to explore much beyond the Rhodes and Yamaha C7 sounds but those are excellent and have easily replaced other libraries for me. The sounds work very well in my mixes. It does take a fairly hefty computer with an SSD, however, to run.

[24,736] This is my seventh virtual piano. See my review of the Bösendorfer also by VSL — this is just as supremely recorded and I prefer the Steinway sound. It's hard to see how anyone will ever do any better than this. There are 10 different microphone positions (plus the room mix which incorporates several of them in the standard library; I think the full library gives added richness). I use eight of them (not the Main or the main-C) and the plate reverb at 30% which I like better than the algorithmic reverb or the delay. If you can't afford the full, the standard will still be superior to anything else out there.
