Sigma 135mm T2 FF High-Speed Prime Sony E Mountcombine the same high-quality optics and mechanics of their Global Vision still line in a cine-oriented design. This 135mm Sony E mount prime is a longer focal length in the series, offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6-8K resolution, and a T2 maximum aperture in a compact, lightweight form; it is also available in Canon and PL mounts. Electronic contacts in the mount provide lens data communication between the lens and the camera. A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line make it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors.

The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Primes also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, industry-standard 0.8 module gear pitch, and engraved markings for durability. Focus marks are in feet with select marks in luminous paint for easy visibility in low light.

To relieve stress on your camera's lens mount, a support foot is built into the dust- and water-resistant metal lens body. If you wish to fit your FF High-Speed Prime lens to a different camera, the Canon EF and Sony E mount versions can be converted from one to the other by an authorized Sigma service center (not available for PL mounts).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What lens mount is this set?

A: Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. This is a PL mount set.

Q: 2. Can this 5 lens kit be configured with any choice of focal length? I.e. Could you get 14mm, 20mm, 50mm, 85mm and 135mm?

A: This is a manufacturer kit and thus no substitutions and no returns.

Q: 3. With this lens if I place it on my Red camera in a water housing can i purchase a screw in ND Filter? Or something can be clapped on the front?

A: When using the Sigma 14mm T2 FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount) you would need to use a dome port. So you would not be able to use a screw in ND Filter or use a clamp. You could get a ND gel filter and place it inside the dome.

Q: 4. The sigma prime are avaible immediately ?

A: This kit itself is a Special Order Product that comes from Sigma directly. However we have the 5 lenses in the kit in stock and ready to ship at the time of this posting, April 22nd 2018. Here are the B&H numbers for the 5 lenses:B&H # SI20T15FFPLB&H # SI24T15FFPLB&H # SI35T15FFPLB&H # SI50T15FFPLB&H # SI85T15FFPL

Q: 5. How much does this lens weigh for L-mount?

A: The weight of the is Meike 135mm T2.4 Full Frame Cine Lens (L-Mount) lens is 1.12kg / 2.65 lbs.

Q: 6. Is there a Cooke/I dataport as well like on Zeiss XD or Cooke lenses? Or is the /I data just transferred via the mount

A: this lens supports standard cooke i Technology through the lens mount, there is no extended data or expanded I support

Q: 7. Why does it say the kit has an 85mm but has a 135mm in the photo and no 85?

A: The kit has an 85mm lens and the group picture is incorrect.

Q: 8. When shooting in the set, have you ever thought that you wish the focus of these lenses had a 300-degree rotation instead of 180? Would you mind describing the situation?

A: Large focus throws are imperative when working with significantly shallow depth of field.

Q: 9. Love this lens but the ARRI LMB 4x5 mattebox 95mm clamp on adapter ring doesn’t cover the gaps on left and right side. In other words, because the lens hood has the cut outs on the left and right side of the lens, the mattebox adapter ring isn’t deep enough to cover those gaps. So, you have to tape the openings each time you use this lens. Or, is there a better solution? A deeper adapter ring? It needs to remain at 95mm so that it’s easy to swap lenses.

A: As an alternative, you can use a 15mm LWS rod system so you can mount the mattebox using ARLMB4515LWS and ARLMB45TFA. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341037-REG/arri_k2_0013427_lmb_4x5_15mm_lws.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341036-REG/arri_k2_0014206_lmb_4x5_tilt_and.html

Q: 10. filter thread in specs states 'none' does this mean the lens is NOT treaded for a filter?

A: Some of these lenses in this kit will have a filter thread size and others will not. Like the 14mm & 20mm lens does not have a filter thread because the glass sticks out a bit due to it being a large wide angle lens. You will have to use a matte box and a filter with at particular lens. However, the other lens sizes like the 50mm lens will have a filter thread size of 82mm. The lenses will not all have the same filter thread size.

[Yes] If you're doing a prime lens, you'll be fine. The color is good and it's crisp. It has less cat's eye than a canon cn-e and Zeiss CP. A Sigma cine zoom lens is another story. The focus breathing is real!

[T2] Pleasantly surprised by this lens. Used to own Zeiss CP.2, and have rented the CP.2 Super Speed 50mm many times, as well as the Canon CN-E lenses. In terms of sharpness, this Sigma easily beats all three of those. In some ways, this is to be expected because those are older lenses, and were designed before 4K was a ubiquitous resolution. If you're still shooting/delivering in HD, then it may not matter. These days, the differences are noticeable in 4k, especially shooting wider than T4. This lens is an amazing value and punches well above her weight. Sharp enough to resolve tack-sharp in 4k, and they claim it's sharp enough for 8k. I won't comment much on color/contrast rendition and character because it's so subjective, but to me it produces a very straightforward and grade-able look and doesn't seem to color the footage much. Also haven't tested/can't comment on lens flare characteristics. Favorite features: -Hardly any chromatic aberration wide open, which is where the other lenses in this range typically fall apart wider than T4. Still very sharp at T2. -Offered in E-Mount with is great for my FS7. -Build quality is as good as one would hope for a lens in this range. -No focus breathing!

[135mm] I compared many lenses in this range, and it came down to these and the Tokina Vistas. The Tokina's had a beautiful image, but for $6k a lens, I was sure if the value was there.

So I pulled the trigger on a set of these sigmas, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best value for the dollar. I've used their art photo line, but these seem to have a better resolution, they are crispier, and the bokeh falls off like butter. You won't find a better value for the price. The next level up is $6-7k, then $10k
