Sigma 14mm T2 FF High-Speed Prime Canon EF Feetcombine the same high-quality optics and mechanics of their Global Vision still line in a cine-oriented design. This 14mm Canon EF prime is the widest focal length of the series, offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6-8K resolution, and a T2 aperture in a relatively lightweight form; it is also available in PL and Sony E-mounts. A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line make it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors.

The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Primes also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, industry-standard 0.8 module gear pitch, and engraved markings for durability. Select markings are done in luminous paint for easy visibility in low light.

To relieve stress on your camera's lens mount, a 1/4"-20 support foot is built into the dust- and water-resistant metal lens body. If you wish to fit your FF High-Speed Prime lens to a different camera, the Canon EF and Sony E mount versions can be converted from one to the other by an authorized Sigma service center (not available for PL mounts).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. With this lens if I place it on my Red camera in a water housing can i purchase a screw in ND Filter? Or something can be clapped on the front?

A: When using the Sigma 14mm T2 FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount) you would need to use a dome port. So you would not be able to use a screw in ND Filter or use a clamp. You could get a ND gel filter and place it inside the dome.

Q: 2. How much does the lens itself weight? The specs only list package weight

A: The PL version weighs 1.5 kg / 3.3 lb.

Q: 3. Will this PL Mount lens work with the RED PL mount fixture?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 4. Does the Sigma ART line of smaller (photography sized) lenses feature the same optical performance as these?

A: When it comes to lenses the quality of the lens can be subjective, but I would say the look/operation of the Sigma 50mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet) would general be considered superior to the Sigma ART series.

Q: 5. Does the Sigma /i lenses have a port for Cooke /I or is that information only exchanged over the mount?

A: The information is communicated over the mount, electronically.

Q: 6. Does this set come with a case?

A: No, the Sigma T1.5 Cine FF High-Speed Art Prime 5-Lens Set does not come with a case.

Q: 7. are these PL mount?

A: These are available in Canon EF, Sony E and PL mount. Order them, we will contact you to ask which lens mount you wish.

Q: 8. Love this lens but the ARRI LMB 4x5 mattebox 95mm clamp on adapter ring doesn’t cover the gaps on left and right side. In other words, because the lens hood has the cut outs on the left and right side of the lens, the mattebox adapter ring isn’t deep enough to cover those gaps. So, you have to tape the openings each time you use this lens. Or, is there a better solution? A deeper adapter ring? It needs to remain at 95mm so that it’s easy to swap lenses.

A: As an alternative, you can use a 15mm LWS rod system so you can mount the mattebox using ARLMB4515LWS and ARLMB45TFA. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341037-REG/arri_k2_0013427_lmb_4x5_15mm_lws.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341036-REG/arri_k2_0014206_lmb_4x5_tilt_and.html

Q: 9. What does "fully luminous" mean?

A: For the Sigma 85mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet), "Fully Luminous" refers to the markers on the lens being glow in the dark so you can view them in low light.

Q: 10. Which Sigma hard case does the 65mm fit?

A: It would work with the Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses. If you own the five lens set you would need to remove one lens to fit the additional 65mm lens. Also you could use the following case to store extra lenses like the 65mm or the lens you remove from PMC-002 to fit the 65mm. Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case with Foam Set (Black) B&H # PE1510FB

[Full Frame] This lens is breathtaking. At T1.5 it gets a fantastic creamy look that is not achievable with the 85 or 135. I highly recommend.

[43.3 mm] We're getting several lenses from this new Sigma Cine line and our first 50mm just showed up. Build quality is like a TANK and these lenses resolve higher with less chromatic aberation or halation than the Zeiss Classic / CP.2 wide open at T1.5. We've tested this ourselves on 2 Scarlet-W REDs and the results were amazing. We're 100% sold on the Sigma lenses for much of our day to day work.

[4.25 lb] 7 beautiful, color matched, mechanically smooth, Art level lenses in cine mounts with a full range from 14-135mm. Using with PL mount on Helium Red sensor. Now in one single case for all lenses. Exceptional clarity and beautiful falloff. B&H was very helpful in making this purchase.

[T2] The Sigma 50mm T1.5 is simply a wonderful lens for me, I use it on every shoot. It works perfect for high-end commercials but is also wonderful for doc shooting since it has a shorter pull than it's competition.

It has an 82mm thread on the front allowing early filter additions when using teleprompter and a mattebox can't be arranged.

The Glow in the dark paint for the markings was really useful when it came to shooting an independent film in limited lighting.

I would recommend a set of Sigma Cine Lenses to anyone who needs to be versatile but is sick of the poor performance of stills glass.
