A: Anytime you use a step-down ring to use a smaller filter on the front of a lens with a larger filter diameter, you run the risk of obtaining some vignetting. Unfortunately, we have no way to test or guarantee which lens/focal length combinations. While vignetting would normally be more noticeable with wide angle lenses compared to telephoto lenses, I cannot guarantee you will not get vignetting.
