The Chrosziel MB 565 Matte Box for Full-Frame Cine Camerasenables faster lens changes by conveniently moving the matte box out of the way of the lens. In addition to providing swing-away functionality, the assembly has joints which allow you to tilt the matte box as well as slide it horizontally and vertically when fitting it to your lens, compensating for possible inconsistencies found in complex rigging scenarios.

[0.825 lb] Would not have believed it, but this matte box is almost every bit as good as the Arri LMB-4x5 that costs over $6K. I work professionally and can't and won't use junk, but honestly, I had my suspicions about any matte-box costing sub $1K. Well, this product easily surpassed my expectations and it has been on jobs without complaint (other than a minor quibble about having the lens support bracket needing to be attached to the backing plates -- if I need to change backing plates, I have to remove the rod bracket if I'm using that) Anyway, super small annoyance that is not an everyday annoyance. The level of quality and precision and build quality in this product is staggering and has been approved by my 1st AC's. Regardless of the cheap price, this product is 5 star and the low price makes this a no-brainer purchase. You really can't go wrong with this. 5

[0.825 lb] I love everything about this matte box. Feels more rigid and sturdy than the Arri clip-on, and comes with the added bonus of having the capability to attach to 15mm rods, if necessary. Hard mattes are also quite rigid, and snap tightly into place. Thrilled with this piece of equipment. 5

[0.825 lb] I was taking a look at which MB to buy after renting time and again and almost went with the bright tangerine, but for what I was doing didn't require the weight saving and extra expense. This does feel really well made and the 'free' / included mounting options are just the icing on the cake. In the attached picture I have the ARRI Rota Pola, followed by a straight Polarizer to create a VND and a Promist in front. Would highly recommend buying this piece of kit. 5

[11.1 x 7.9 x 3"] After looking at a few options I ended up getting this Matte box for 2 major reasons. 1. It has a 15mm LW rod attachment that helps support the lens and gives you comfort that your not pulling on your lens mount on the camera. 2. It has different quickly changeable lens clamps. You just slide it on and twist the clamp so if your not in to using the rods setup you can just quickly put it on. The 3 stages are nice if you want to use a pola, ND and a grad. Its light and pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of the others in its class. Works well and is easy to travel with. 5
