The Audio-Technica U841R is an omnidirectional condenser boundary microphone designed to provide intelligible reproduction of speech and minimum visibility for surface-mount configurations in conferencing, interviews, theater, and more. By utilizing UniGuard technology, the microphone delivers enhanced rejection of RFI from sources such as lighting and wireless devices.

The omnidirectional polar pattern and condenser element yield a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. Silicone foam pads on the bottom of the mic reduce the transfer of vibration. It features a space-saving TA3M output connector. The supplied 25’ TA3F to XLR male cable allows you to easily connect it to a mixer or mic preamp. The U841R can be operated on 11 to 52V phantom power. It ships with a protective pouch for safe transport.

[1 lb] I love the clarity on this microphone- great for a variety of uses, especially with live sound recording, well spaced apart from one another to optimize the recording pattern. Recorded live instruments in a large space and had no issues with getting the sound and placement the way I wanted it. B&H had a slightly longer shopping time when I bought them so don't wait until the last minute, but I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to build out their fleet of microphones. 5

[Mono] I use this mic with an ATW-T1801 transmitter and an ATW-1801 receiver as one wireless system for video recording. The primary events are weddings and corporate events. The mic is a little bigger than I would prefer, and it is bigger than the mic that came with another ATW-1801 system that I have. But, overall, it does the job that I need done. 5

[1 lb] This is the mic we got to go with the ATW 2110 body pack system we use at our church. It works great; very true sound, and unlike the mic we used to use, doesn't significantly lose sound level when he turns his head from side to side. I'd tried to convince him to use a headphone mic to remedy that problem in the past, but he prefers a lapel mic, so we got this one, and it seems to have solved the problem. 5

[1 lb] Audio-Technica has achieved what I thought was not possible in a microphone at this price. It provides very accurate and clear reproduction of string and reed instruments with a robust signal/noise ratio. In fact, the self-noise is far below what I expected in this small diaphragm design. 5

[1 lb] Replacement because the wires get wrapped around the transmitter by people trying to be neat and they damage the cable. Very nice to be able to just replace the mic w cable. 5
