Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with iphone11?

A: Yes, this is compatible with the iPhone 11.

Q: 2. Will this fit the new Fujifilm X-T3 and its battery grip?

A: Since the new XT-3 is close to 1/2 inch thicker than the XT-2, it's doubtful the Kirk L-Bracket you're asking about will fit the new vertical grip. But since nobody has actually seen one yet, it's really too early to know for sure. Wait until the new grip is released and compare specs with the old one.

Q: 3. Hi, Can the SMAD P3 mic interface be used with this? Thanks in adavance.

A: There is plenty of room for the Sony SMAD-P3. You will not, however, be able to mount the handle in the usual position.

Q: 4. Will this work with the X-H2S?

A: The Anton/Bauer Titon Base Kit for Fujifilm X-H1/X-T2/X-T3 Cameras is incompatible with the FUJIFILM X-H2S Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 5. I had a HooToo usb/lightning flash drive that died. The software was mostly aweful, but it had one feature loop hole? that I found incredibly useful. At the end of a day of recording I could share .WAV files to Ferrite on the iPad. this was often faster than copying the files into iTunes and then to the iPad.Does anyone know if the app that works with this drive allows direct sharing of audio files to editing apps?

A: Depending on the Audio App and how up to date it is, it will allow you to share and import Audio files from the flash drive to another App. For the apps that wouldn't support it natively, an App called Audioshare would allow you to move the files from the flash drive to the audio app.

Q: 6. Is this only compatible with the X-T2? Would it work with an X-T20?

A: It's for the Fujifilm X-T2 only.

Q: 7. Do they make one of these for the X-T1

A: A suitable option would be the Vello BG-F1 Battery Grip for Fujifilm X-T1, BH # VEBGF1. https://bhpho.to/3kITPhO

Q: 8. Can this grip use the newer NP-W126S batteries or just the older NP-W126 batteries?

A: The grip works fine with the older battery. Fuji claims the newer battery is necessary to get top performance. I haven't had mine long enough to figure out what the real differences are.

Q: 9. Using the supplied AC adapter, how can we know that both of (or the) batterie(s) are fully charged ? Is there a kind of a lamp or is it only a matter of charging time ?

A: Two green lights go on, means two batteries are chagrinning. One light goes off, means only one battery is charging. Both lights off means both batteries are charged. Blinking lights means you have a problem.

Q: 10. Does this work on the Fuji x-h1

A: While Phantom Glass does not have a dedicated screen protector for use with the Fujifilm X-H1, the Phantom Glass LCD Screen Protector for Fujifilm X-T2 listed above should also be compatible for use with the X-H1.

If you intend on using any lenses of any size with your new X-T2 you will absolutely want this - need it is more like it. It no only has two addition batteries, it also adds speed to FPS shooting. It also gives you total control while in portrait position and everything is where you want it to control the X-T2 with your eyes closed. Very high quality build and fits the body like hand and glove. If you buy the X-T2 - buy this too..

This is a must-have accessory for your XT-2 if you shoot in any sort of fast environment. That's not just sports, but street shooting, weddings, events, etc. If you fear that it makes your camera too large and heavy, it's easily removable for situations where speed or vertical shooting are not critical. It's three main benefits are FPS, vertical shooting, and battery life. Attaching the grip and activating the power boost, you can achieve a shutter activation rate of 11 frames per second. With a shutter button (as well as control wheels) on the right side of the grip, you can hand hold the camera vertically and easily access controls without straining your wrist and enduring camera shake. Because mirrorless cameras and their EVFs consume power so quickly, having the grip allows you to have three batteries (2 in grip and 1 in camera). The XT-2s display shows all three batteries simultaneously and indicates which battery is which, and what its remaining power level is. An added benefit for the large-handed among us, it increases the camera's overall size, making it more comfortable for shooting, especially with long lenses.

I concur with all of the positives I've read here, with one addition. I've had to do some heavy duty work where it was best to just plug the camera into an AC outlet. Not only does this do the job, it does it with batteries in cam and/or grip, or with none in either. For anyone wondering about using one of those cheaper AC battery replacements for the camera body, there is a little rubber plug on the edge of the battery compartment that pulls out when battery is out so the door can close around the connection.

This is a necessity if you plan on shooting for any length of time with the X-T2! Battery life on the camera is not exactly robust. This booster allows for all day shooting with room to spare and an extra boost in number of shots per second. Don't second guess it. Buy it.

Necessary? Not totally. Functional? Very much so. Desirable? Oh yes: This grip puts others to shame in its simple, thoughtful design. Although the grip nearly doubles the weight of the camera it also extends the functionality of the camera. Depending upon how you have your camera options set, it can deplete it's internal battery fairly quickly. But for most photo work the average use does the internal battery lasts just fine. Video work, however, can drain the battery fast and then the Booster Grip becomes more important. So, depending upon how you use your camera you may not need the extra power in the grip at all. That being said, there's more to this grip than just extra performance. It's not until you turn and hold the camera in the vertical 'portrait' position that the buttons and wheels on the grip make sense - then they really make sense. If it wasn't for these function buttons the grip would be just another hunk of ugliness hanging off the camera. But those buttons, and their placement, beg you use them, and that means you'll be twisting the camera up and shooting like a pro. Bottom Line: The grip's price is returned in ergonomics, functionality and performance.

I had the previous VPB for the X-T1 but it didn't have a big enough grip on it for it to be comfortable. Combine that with a single battery and needing to remove the grip to swap out the internal battery and it wasn't long before I returned it. The new version for the X-T2 is amazing. First of all the grip feels great in the hand both vertically and normally, as it adds even more grip area to the horizontal grip. Two batteries this time on a sled. It's a must have as it adds the awesome boost mode option to the X-T2. It also comes with an external battery charger to charge BOTH batteries at the same time while inside the grip and can be used as an AC adaptor which is amazing for the price. Also, if you shoot video the included headphone jack is a huge plus along with longer record times for 4k. I don't think this guy is coming off of my X-T2 any time soon.
