The RRS TA-4 Leveling Base Low-Profile Knobfrom RRS TA-4 Leveling Base Low-Profile Knoblevels out horizons for filming during a video shoot or for landscape photography. Your tripod's top plate can be replaced with the TA-4-VB or other industry standard 100mm video bowls. Therefore, the leveling base adapts right into the bowl, and gives you the ability to level your horizon +/- 30°. The built-in 12mm bulls-eye bubble level ensures your camera is level every time.

The top of the leveling base features a low friction anti-jam polymer plate with a 3/8"-16 male stud. The ball, gimbal, and fluid heads with the same thread screw directly to the base. After locking the level's low-profile handle in place, the base supports up to 50 lb of gear without slipping. the CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum leveling base has a durable Type II anodized finish.

A: The Oben MFR4-5 does not have arca-swiss dovetails built into it, so you'll need to first attach an arca-swiss style quick release plate in order for it to fit onto the YB-75SK. The YB-75SK will fit onto the Robus Vantage series-3 tripods as they come with a 75mm bowl. :)

Q: 8. Can it be installed on Gitzo GT5543XLS? I have RRS TVC-34L too, so would like to confirm it does be compatible with both tripods.

[3/8"-16] This 75mm adapter is a perfect match for the 3-Series Gitzos. I use this to get additional +-15 degree movement for my home made Pan & Tilt head. 5

[1.6 lb] This TA-3 Leveling Base with platform and hook is coupled with the TVC-43 Versa Series 4 Carbon Fiber Tripod. Leveling the base makes it fast and easy to level the BH-55 ball head with lever-release panning clamp. This set up is an excellent combination to keep the camera level when doing pano work or video work. Leveling the base is fast and provides a perfect platform for the BH-55 ball head with panning clamp even when the tripod can't be leveled easily. The time saved trying to level the base of the tripod makes this leveling base well worth the money. This leveling base is another great product from Really Right Stuff. 5

[1.6 lb] Built with the expected high quality RRS engineering and manufacturing. Easy to install and definitely makes tripod setups easier in the outdoor world I prefer to shoot. Utilizing both the BH-55 Ball Head and a Wimberly Gimbal for different applications in rough terrain, day and nighttime, it was evident this leveling base might speed up my setup. It certainly does; now I set the legs to safely support the rig and this leveling base allows me to make quick adjustments to level out the base. I wouldn't have a tripod without one now. 5

[50 lb / 22.7 kg] Fits right into my TVC-34L after taking the tripod flat plate off. No adapter or separate bowl needed. Everything comes with this unit. Super smooth in movement and it locks down easily and securely. Easy to level exactly via the torque and fine control supplied by the length of the handle. 5

[50 lb / 22.7 kg] Not much to say since it's RRS with the quality as expected and built like a tank. I bought this for one of my Hi Hats to get me as low as possible to the ground and it does the job perfectly with both DSLR and Cinema cameras and video heads. Thinking about buying a second! 5

[3/8"-16] I had bought the TVC-33 Really Right Stuff Tripod with the standard mounting plate and hook assembly. After using the tripod I determined a levelling base would be a worthwhile addition. The telescoping leg adjustments on the tripod are suited for the rough level but the levelling base makes it so easy to attain a perfectly level platform very quickly. I went with the mid-range hook length. Unlocking the levelling base is very easy to make adjustments to the level, it does not take much torque to lock the base down which is an advantage since it is easy then to unlock the base to make fine adjustments. Very pleased with this Leveling Base from Really Right Stuff, highly recommended. 5
