A: It narrows the light. I think the dracast has a wider beam than 45 degrees, it's a pretty wide cast, which is why this honeycomb is needed IMO

[60°] As will all honeycomb grids, this will reduce light output. The purpose of this is to narrow the focus of the light, and it does this very well. LED lights typically spill all over the place, and this will give you a more focused, dramatic looking light. 5
