The black Vocas MB-436 Matte Box Kit 15mm Rail Supportfrom Vocas MB-436 Matte Box Kit 15mm Rail Supportprovides a lightweight, versatile solution for stacking up to three filters on your video rig. It incorporates one fixed 4 x 5.65" filter holder within its hood, one rotatable rear stage for filters up to 4 x 5.65", and one fixed rear stage for up to 4 x 5.65" filters. It comes with two 4 x 4/4 x 5.65" combo filter frames and one compact top flag. It also has built-in top and bottom eyebrows for guarding against flares without adding external mattes.

The MB-436 clamps directly onto lenses with a maximum 143mm outside diameter and can be used with smaller diameter lenses via separately available step-down adapters. The included top flag (eyebrow) attaches to a lockable hinge along on top of matte box, and similar hinges for optional side flags are built into each side of the matte box hood. Use the MB-436 with the separately available swing-away bracket for quick and easy lens changes.

A: Yes, it's wide enough. I use it with an URSA Mini 4.6k and the Xeens, including the 14mm, with no problems. The URSA Mini camera isn't full frame, but I still think you'll be fine. You'll need to make sure you have a baseplate that raises the A7s up quite a bit. The matte box is adjustable vertically, but there is a minimum height that the camera lens needs to be at

[143 mm Opening] I was taking a look at which MB to buy after renting time and again and almost went with the bright tangerine, but for what I was doing didn't require the weight saving and extra expense. This does feel really well made and the 'free' / included mounting options are just the icing on the cake. In the attached picture I have the ARRI Rota Pola, followed by a straight Polarizer to create a VND and a Promist in front. Would highly recommend buying this piece of kit. 5

[143 mm Opening] I love everything about this matte box. Feels more rigid and sturdy than the Arri clip-on, and comes with the added bonus of having the capability to attach to 15mm rods, if necessary. Hard mattes are also quite rigid, and snap tightly into place. Thrilled with this piece of equipment. 5

[1x 4 x 5.65"] I have owned all the major brands of matte boxes over the years and I settle on ARRI. Best matte box on the market. If you do any kind of handheld work you will appreciate the lightweight, modularity, and of course quality of the LMB 4x5. The only thing I can complain about is the cost of the top flag for the 4x5, but you're going to buy it anyway so suck it up, lol. 5

[143 mm Opening] After looking at a few options I ended up getting this Matte box for 2 major reasons. 1. It has a 15mm LW rod attachment that helps support the lens and gives you comfort that your not pulling on your lens mount on the camera. 2. It has different quickly changeable lens clamps. You just slide it on and twist the clamp so if your not in to using the rods setup you can just quickly put it on. The 3 stages are nice if you want to use a pola, ND and a grad. Its light and pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of the others in its class. Works well and is easy to travel with. 5

[1x Top Flag] Very high quality, and fairly light weight for a 3 stage mattebox. The only criticism I would have is that there isn't an adjustment donut for odd sized lenses. Fortunately JTZ makes one in 114mm which should work. This mattebox is a bargain at $300. 5

[1x 4 x 5.65"] Running a Kessler Kwik receiver on top as a quick release system and a wooden camera dovetail clamp below it. You can adjust the height of this baseplate and it comes with 2 aluminum rods and a plastic card to ensure you get the correct lens height for a 15mm LWS setup. The only thing I don't like is the wooden cork pad on the top, that's something you usually only see on really low end/entry level tripod heads. 5

[1x Top Flag] I honestly don't know why anyone would get any other matte box. This one is so cheap and pretty much perfect for a clip on. Right up there with the best from Arri. The front mattes are great, but there definitely is a technique to getting them in and out without breaking them, so be cautious when you let the new AC mess around with your matte box. 5
