This Cartoni SDS Smart Spreader Mid-Levelfits into Cartoni's SDS tripod legs. The spreader extends by pressing a button to unlock the arms, and collapses just by squeezing the legs closed. The spreader features a bind-free ratcheting mechanism, and it folds neatly within the legs of your tripod. Owing to its dual extendable sections, the spreader allows you to spread your tripod's legs extremely wide while remaining stable, for lower shots than would be possible with a traditional mid-level spreader.

A: You can use the Mid Level Spreader on your 546GB. The 546GB and the 546G use the same leg. So it is in effect convertible.

A: Manfrotto does not state any compatibility of the Manfrotto Mid-Level Spreader with the Manfrotto 3182.

[1 lb / 0.45 kg] It's just as good as it's slightly tall sibling. Quick to setup and take down. Adjustable mid level spreader make a good table for odds and ends. My version came with a bag too. 5

[Plastic] The fluid head is smooth as butter. I'm using it for my Ursa Mini Pro and it balances perfectly. The legs are solid, and the feet are stable. Feels well-built, like the Ferrari of Tripods that it is! 5

[Plastic] Even if its not on sale, it is worth the price. Does it compete with my 100mm Vinten? No. Would it be great to bring to 90% of the jobs when I dont need a heavy drag 100mm head? YES. I would bring this on any job, run and gun, comes with a sachel and light and pro looking. 5

[1.335 lb] I bought the tripod without the spreader and used it like that for a couple months. �It works ok like that, but it works much better with the spreader, and it didn't cost that much more. �It's well worth it. 5

[Plastic] The Cartoni Focus 8 is my second favorite fluid head after the heavier duty Cartoni Gamma Head which I have owned since 1998. The Gamma is for larger cameras and the Focus 8 covers the smaller cameras used today. It has continuously variable drag settings on both pan and tilt unlike the limited stepped settings of it's competitors. It also has a balance setting for tilt that is easy to setup. I also like the 5 year warranty which most likely may never get used since my Cartoni Gamma is still working well after 19 years without any major issues. 5
