[3.88 lb] Purchased the blue switch before this and was just too clicky for me. This one is a perfect tactical keyboard, responsive, comfortable, and beautiful.

[Mechanical] The Cherry MX Brown switches are not noisy and have the right amount of tactile feeling. The build quality of this keyboard is solid and heavy. Mechanical keyboards have the keys higher than normal keyboards and some of the brands include a palm rest in the box. Das Keyboards do not come with it. I purchased a polyurethane palm rest to get the right height.

I'd be happy if they included something in the box for raising your palm, other than that it is a great keyboard!

[3.88 lb] After rotating through a handful of membrane boards, I bought this keyboard for work and am absolutely loving it. I had never used a mechanical keyboard before but found that this board is an absolute pleasure to type on. The keys (mx brown) have a great feel and are not so loud that they drive my office-mate crazy with all the clicking. Highly recommend!

[6.6' / 2 m] If you spend a lot of your life writing, like I do, you may find that you long for the great IBM selectric keyboards that gave you a mechanical feedback. Today's keyboards are uniformly mushy, with a few exceptions, such as Lenovo's famous keyboards. So after reading the reviews I sprung for the Das Keyboard 43 professional. It has a great response and feel. Nice click but not too loud. Would not recommend if you work in a quiet spot and don't want to wake up roommates!

[Mechanical] This keyboard is well designed and well built. No frills. No colors. Pure function. I like the feel and sound of the keys.

[3.88 lb] My older work-from-home keyboard (as a full-time programmer) started to have some sticking keys, so I decided to splurge and buy myself a good one. I first learned to touch-type on a manual typewriter when I was young, and most modern (post-1990's) keyboards still just feel wrong. This feels excellent, and my typing speed is getting back to what it should be. Not having to worry about typos due to lack of rollover is also very nice.

It's also about as compact as a full-size keyboard with a numeric pad can be: no fat borders or wrist rests (ugh) at the edges. The slightly recessed sleep button is very convenient for shutting down at night. My only quibble is that the LED for the Numeric Lock is annoyingly bright; after a couple layers of trimmed post-it note on it, the LED is just bright enough to be useful. (And I don't mind the brightness of the Caps Lock LED, because I've been known to hit that key by mistake.)

Overall, excellent.

[3.88 lb] My previous keyboard was a Realforce Topre keyboard (8 years). Moving to the Das with Cherry MX Brown switches has been a pleasant change.
