Currently if I want to watch Netflix I have to remove the DirectTV HDMI cable from the back of my TV and then connect the Apple HDMI cable to the TV. I want to be able to switch between both without having to change cables.

A: This product will not work for you. This is a Splitter, which takes a single input and splits it to 4 outputs. What you need is a Switcher, a product that gives you multiple inputs to a single output. Comprehensive makes 4k HDMI 3x1 and 5x1 Switchers with HDCP 2.2, they are B&H Numbers COCSWHD301K & COCSWHD501K. You will want to look in to these items instead.
