The black Pioneer DJ HDJ-X5 Over-Ear Headphones Blackdeliver the precision audio quality and durability professional DJs depend on and are capable of producing frequencies from 5 Hz to 30 kHz. The HDJ-X5 headphones feature 40mm drivers with copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coils. The magnetic circuit is optimized for clear, distortion-free sound and easy monitoring. The bass reflex chamber provides a deep bass response and sound insulation, while the 4-core twisted-structure cable offers remarkable left and right channel separation.

The HDJ-X5 headphones are designed to be flexible with swivel mechanisms, allowing you to wear them comfortably whichever way you prefer for long periods of time. The design was rigorously tested to handle severe conditions, heavy use, and even passed the US Military Standard Shock test (MIL-STD-810G). The polyurethane leather ear pads and headband cushion ensure a comfortable fit, while the textured coating on the outside of the earcups offer an enhanced grip. The single-sided cable is detachable and easily replaced in the rare event of a short or break. The headphones include a coiled cable, a carrying pouch, and a threaded 1/4" adapter.

[Closed-Back] I did not get these for their intended purpose DJ'ing. I bought them as an output for a FLAC player (FiiO M11). Initially I tried to use in ear headphones but couldn't get the sound I wanted out of them. These headphones are unbelievable and deliver a beautiful listening experience. FLAC or TIDAL + these headphones make music fun again! 5

[5 Hz to 30 kHz] They sound great comfortable with glasses no pressure very very slight� like the silver you can see the right and left ear letters there in black so they show up nice soundstage is something else very very good bass is really good they handle volume really good the built is the best iv'e had solid very solid i think there the best headphones made for $99.00 and have even a replaceable cord i got the longer one 3.9' to 9.8' for $30.00 look under pioneer dj they also have ear pads you can buy for up the road The hdj-x5 dj headphones are great for home listening �i'd buy again well worth the investment! thanks bandh� all the best� martin t. 5

[5 Hz to 30 kHz] I left my old DJ headphones in another city and needed a new pair of proper cans for a DJ set the following day. B&H were the only place I could find within transit reach that had both colors of these handsome flagships available on display in-store so I could give 'em a test drive before laying down the cash. They sound great and have decent isolation, but best of all they feel robust and durable. Yes, there's a lot of hard plastic, but there's clearly metal where it matters most, and the plastic helps to keep them from getting ridiculously heavy during long mixing sessions. I think Pioneer found a solid middle-grounds and did it right. Very pleased with this purchase so far, they were great during my set last night! Will update if anything goes wrong in the future. Expecting at least 5 years of regular use out of these, and they feel like they can definitely handle that. 5

[102 dB ] The Pioneer DJ HDJ-X5 are simply excellent headphones, superior to many far more expensive. First they pickup the full spectrum of sounds with clarity and strength, from the lowest to the highest, balanced and without distortion. Also they are extremely well made, made to be durable and long lasting. They are the best I have bought in the last 50 years and I have bought many. 5

[Closed-Back] Over the years I have gone through many headphones almost all of which broke. The head band broke or one of the ear pieces broke off. These are extremely well made and virtually unbreakable. More importantly, it has superb sound able to pick up from the lowest frequency to the highest! The sound is very rich, full and clear. Love them! 5
