Designed for the performance and portability required for outdoor enthusiasts and global travelers, GPO USA 8x32 Passion ED Binoculars Dark-Brown Earthcombines phase-corrected BAK4 Schmidt-Pechan prisms, extra low-dispersion glass, and anti-reflective multi-coated optics that work together to produce clear and bright images with true color representation across the entire wide field of view without distortion, or spherical or chromatic aberrations. When combined with its comfortable eye relief and generous exit pupil, users will be presented with a panoramic and immersive observational experience in the field, at the range, or sightseeing around the city.

Its sturdy magnesium alloy chassis helps to keep the weight down without sacrificing strength, while its micro-bridge design frees up more space on the optical tubes for improved grip strength and stability. The binocular is wrapped in a protective rubber armor with textured palm pads that provide a non-slip grip even in cold and wet weather. Each optical tube is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or environmental conditions.

[32 mm] After doing hours and hours of research, I finally settled on this pair of binoculars for birding and wildlife spotting. I'm very pleased with the decision. The quality of image is absolutely great, and they're very portable. I haven't tried them in low light yet but they're supposed to be exceptional in this area. There's a good reason why this model was rated the top 2018 mid-size travel and safari binocular by Best Binoculars Review. Also, their customer service is first rate.

[Roof] I took the Snypex Knight D-ED on a safari in Africa to observe wildlife, both from a 4x4 and on foot. The image is nice and sharp, focusing is fast and precise, and with the open frame the binocular is easy to hold. The reason I got this model is that at 380 grams / 13.4 oz it's the lightest 8x32 binocular available. On longer walks, the low weight is great! In the 4x4, I also took along the excellent 10x42 Nikon Monarch 7. During the day, the Snypex was just as bright and sharp, only when it got dark was the image of the much heavier (670 gram / 23.6 oz) Nikon brighter. If you're looking for a lightweight 8x32 with good optics, get the Snypex! My only (small) gripe is that the front lens covers are difficult to attach.

[Roof] This is the first review I've ever done for a pair of Binoculars and I've owned plenty. About 20 years ago I purchased a pair of Nikons, upgraded to some HGs a few years later, Zeiss Conquest and finally to a pair of Swarovski SLCs. For low light conditions these work the best. All the others are 8x42 and these are 56 and from what I've read and seen first hand this was GPOs objective with the Passion ED 8x56. I did a ton of research before buying and could talk about the exit pupil and GPOs lens coating but you can all do that yourself at home. What I can tell you is that holding all the pre mentioned binoculars to my face in low light conditions these are the clear winner. My mission was to seek out the best low light binoculars that also match up well in the other main categories. These are it! They really impressed me in every way. Through my research I heard the president of GPO say their objective was to build a binocular to compete with high end European brands at a better price point through a scaled down corporate model and they did it!. $799 for GPO Passion EDs 8x56 that beat Nikon HG, Zeiss Conquest and Swarovski SLCs head to in low light conditions and it's not a contest. The build quality and operation is as good as the others and as far as what you see through the lenses I can't distinguish a much of a difference that would be relevant in any real world application. My only complaint is they are kind of big and heavy. They don't fit in the custom harness I Cary all my other 8x42 binoculars in. With all that being said these with out a doubt the best value of all my binoculars and will be my #1 choice when I go bow hunting here in PA in a couple of months.

[±3] For 45 years I have been using all kinds of binoculars for sightseeing, astronomy, and even professionally as a law enforcement officer (LEO) conducting surveillance for about seven years on a daily basis. I only buy and use the very best binoculars including eight Swarovski models starting with their Porros. The only type of binoculars missing from my collection was a compact, lightweight binoculars that would deliver a great image, are very sturdy, and economical. A very tall order indeed. My intention was to take it overseas to Third World countries where binoculars are seen as a potential theft target. Losing a $500 binoculars is not as painful as losing $1K or $2K. After many days of searching and comparing I decided for the Snypex Knight 8x32 D-ED. So far my experience with the Snypex has been extremely favorable and has exceeded my expectations. Since I am not an expert I will not go over the different terminology used in examining the optical quality of an instrument. Thanks to the internet you can read many excellent reviews conducted by knowledgeable experts. Suffice it to say, these Snypex binoculars have truly impressed me from the moment I got them out of the box. Compact, strong, super lightweight, smooth and positive controls, and an image rivaling the Swarovskis in clarity, brightness, and true colors.

As if the above is not impressive enough I am here to tell that Sam, the founder/owner of Snypex, is an amazing human being. He TRULY cares about us, the end-users, of his impressive line of products. His goal from the very beginning has been not only to create a world-class, first-rate optical company, but to put a smile on each and every owner of a Snypex product. He wishes all of his customers to be happy and proud owners every time they rely on a Snypex optical instrument. Sam’s attitude speaks volumes.

Needless to say, I strongly and without any hesitations highly recommend these binoculars or any other Snypex product.

[4 mm] I had been in a search for a lighter travel/hiking and glasses wearer friendly bino for months and after about 8 purchases and returns I landed on this one. I tried hard to like binos in the 25-28mm range but I simply did not enjoy the experience with the “tunnel vision”. The weight of the 8x32 Travellers is only a few ounces more than the average 25-28mm so to me that was a fine compromise. Compared to my 8x42 Monarch M5s i think the glass on the Travellers is better and only ever so slightly darker in low light conditions. The more I use these the more im considering replacing my larger 8x42s all together. As other reviews there is some glare when looking near the sun but I don’t find it to be terrible. You likely need a $1000 pair to eliminate that. At least for me, the combo of low weight, quality glass, and sturdy binos cannot be beat.

[Roof] I am impressed by these binos. Wide field of view, clear image, light weight, feels good in the hand. I have not looked through lots of brands, but these aren't leaving me wanting to get a different pair.

[±3] I bought these as a gift and was not there when they arrived with the recipient but I know they were delighted with them. I was very impressed with the delivery information and the speed with which my order was dealt with. They were sent from the USA to Australia and all the paperwork was handled by BHP and obviously as binoculars are delicate objects they must have been extremely well packaged. Well done.

[16 mm] These binoculars, simply stated are superb optical instruments that are equivalent to many binoculars of much higher prices that I've compared them to. To that end, one can feel confident in their investment in GPO Passion ED binoculars. I have and extensively used my Passion ED 10x42mm and compared them to binoculars costing 3x as much and saw no differences in optical performance or mechanical construction. A truly finely crafted, high precision instrument which I use for birding and nature observations. Buy them with confidence. Their warranty is also one of the best in the industry!!
