Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the waist strap removable?

A: No, but it can be connected out of the way around the front of the bag.

Q: 2. Does the 26L have effective load lifters?

A: Yes, the lifters do their job well.

Q: 3. I've been looking for a comfortable pack that will fit most of my gear in it for a trip to Costa Rica. Will the 26L fit 2 bodies (D800 and D850 attached to any one of the lenses noted) a 70-200 f/2.8, 16-35 f/4, 24-120 f/4 and a Micro 105 and a 14mm prime? I know I could fit all of that in the 36L, but that pack looks huge in comparison and I'd be worried about it being to large for long hikes and to large for a carry-on

A: I just returned from a trip where I packed two DSLR Canon bodies, a 100-400mm, 24-105mm and 16-35mm lens and various filters, batteries, accessories and the like. I love this bag and it holds what I need. I carried it on the plane with ease and didn't find it too large...I'm only 5'3 by the way.

Q: 4. Will this fit two Canon R6's, a RF100-500mm, a RF15-35mm, and a RF 24-70 (with lens hoods reversed)?

A: Yes, MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack will fit two Canon EOS R6's, a Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens, a Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens (Canon RF), and a Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens (with lens hoods reversed).

Q: 5. Does this hold canon 600mm with a body..

A: I can fit a 7d2 with a Sigma 150-600 Sport. A Canon 600 prime? No. Even without the camera. Too long.

Q: 6. Is the waist strap removable?

A: No the strap is not removable.

Q: 7. Does 15.6 laptop fits in the laptop slot?

A: My Macbook pro 15 fits perfectly. 15.6 will be a tight squeeze assuming that 15.6 refers to diagnonal viewable screen dimension.

Q: 8. What is the depth of the camera compartment hight, I planning on using the 26L with me Fujifilm GFX 100s that comes to about 5.5" height and wanted to make sure this backpack has enough depth so the camera prism doesn't protrude above the compartment height???

A: This backpack will fit the GFX100S just fine without a protrusion.

Q: 9. Will it hold Canon 400mm F2.8 IS III, 2 bodies, 70-200, 80mm and 16-32 plus accessories?

A: I feel that the bag is a bit small for all of the equipment you listed. You need at least the nest size up in that brand, MindShift Gear BackLight 36L Backpack (Charcoal) BH #MIBL36LC • MFR #520363 https://bhpho.to/3c9QKFu

Q: 10. Where is the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack made (what country)?

[Yes] Absolutely love the Mindshift 26L backpack. Holds all my camera gear and is well constructed. Larger than what I normally carry, but well suited for those longer hikes. I currently have it loaded with the following: Sony a7riv, Sony 70-200GM, Sigma 14-24, Sigma 24-70, Sony 50mm, Sigma 35, filter case, Sd card case and other accessories. Plenty of room in the front section for a jacket or other needs.

[Zipper] I bought this bag to replace another bag that I had for many years. This bag has a different configuration but stills all the tools I need for photography. Interesting variation on having the bag open from the rear. I can certainly see the advantages. Appears to have plenty of room for my laptop, tripod, and other gear. The shoulder and waist bands are well padded and comfortable. Looking forward to many different adventures with the bag.

[Yes] I recently used the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack (Charcoal) for a convention in Las Vegas. I carried two a7iv's with 28-200 lenses, a charger, battery, two water bottles, and snacks for over 30 miles of walking and the pack was comfortable the entire time. The backpack's design allowed for easy access to my camera gear and the well-padded straps and back panel made it easy to carry all of my items without any discomfort. One thing I really appreciate about this backpack is that it doesn't have the normal overtly sleek tech look to it, but has more of an outdoorsy vibe which is nice and can help you not stand out or look like a target for tech thieves. Overall, I highly recommend the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack for anyone in need of a durable and comfortable backpack for carrying camera gear and other essentials.

[Green] I had a Lot of gyrating thought around a comment made by someone who said the bag would not work with their battery pack-camera-L-bracket combo and long lens. Obviously with such a setup space would be lost. However, My Z6II with MB-N11 and Promediagear L- Bracket fits nicely with a Z MC 105mm attached and could easily accommodate my 70-200mm, attached, with padded insert reconfiguration, as well. Another comment was made about the lip around the camera-lens-gear compartment getting in the way of gear removal. My answer to this is That I don't have issues here, however, my camera and lens setup will most likely be around my neck and shoulder on its sling by the time I'd be presented with this potential problem anyway. My first impressions are "great backpack" well worth the expense. I do agree however, that this bag will not fit under the seat of a domestic air carrier, would have to go overhead. It feels very comfortable to wear, sans tripod or monopod (not tested yet) but I have yet to spend an entire day with it on my back.
