The ESI 16x8 24-Bit USB Audio Interfacefrom ESI 16x8 24-Bit USB Audio Interfaceis a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed audio interface that features 16 input channels and 8 output channels. It is equipped with four integrated microphone-preamp/XLR inputs on the front with switchable 48V phantom power, two Hi-Z instrument inputs for electric guitars, as well as coaxial digital S/PDIF input and output. It is also equipped with two independent headphone outputs on the front, next to an integrated monitoring mixer. You can connect external keyboards, synthesizers, and sound modules via the MIDI input and output on the backside of the unit. Based on EWDM and DirectWIRE technology, low latency drivers support WDM, ASIO 2.0, and CoreAudio technology for both Mac and Windows.

Q: 3. Is the line output compatible with the line input on a stereo receiver?

A: Yes. It is.

Q: 4. Please advise if you can comfortably say that the ESI Maya 44 is a direct replacement to M-Audio Delta 1010LT PC Sound Card. If not, can you suggest any other manufacturer that may have the same benefits as the M-Audio's; or advise the difference(s) between the ESI & M-Audio products mentioned above. Thank you?

A: This card is not a direct replacement for the Delta card in several ways; not the least of which is that the output of the MAYA44 is unbalanced high impedance low level line audio, versus the balanced low impedance high level output of the Delta 1010. I had about a dozen of the Delta series and have tried several replacements for it since being discontinued by M-Audio. This card works in place of a Delta 44, but with the understanding that the outputs are not fully compatible in level and impedance. As for a direct replacement of the Delta series cards, there is nothing I have found in a buss card (several USB options out there) anywhere in this price point. Obviously, Audio Science and Digigram makes exact replacement boards, but at 10x the price.

A: The ESI Maya44 eX is compatible for use with desktop computers that have a Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 operating system, 2 GB RAM, and an available USB port.

A: If I understand your question correctly, the answer is res it does indeed digitize analog. It takes your analog in and converts it to digital and utilizes the USB to interface the 24bit / 96kHz digital signal with your Mac or PC Computer. Other than the USB for digital, It does not sport another digital input/output such as optical, hence why Digital I/O is None.

[4] I run two computers connected to a Yamaha MG12 for VO and broadcast work as well as spoken-word production. Thus, I need two interfaces. I don't need all the midi and various in- and out-put controls, just the converters. You can't beat this for the money. Just plug it in and you're up an running. 5

[1x USB-B] I was happy to discover this device and even happier when I received it. Most interfaces focus on equal I/O or, usually, more I than O. This device is the opposite, which seems tailor-made for so many of our case-uses here -- it's strictly about audio dispersion from one source. I immediately ordered another -- at the size of a small external hard drive, I am even using it while unplugged from any sound outputs to allow my daw and show control software to maintain the routing that I've set up while away from the primary sound system. The headphone out sums all 8 channels so I can monitor my overall work while doing complex routing and cues from a coffeeshop, without having to be hooked up to the sound system with the real interface. Super functional, sturdy, clutch -- worth three times the amount. 5

[96 kHz / 24-Bit] Its a great card at a very good price. It installed very easily. The tech support is overseas, I think; Germany to be precise. But they seem to take the trouble to answer your specific question, unlike many others I have dealt with, who skim through for keywords. It took a few days, but they answered my question. [USB 2.0] The MAYA 22 USB is a great little interface for people in the go and features 1/4 balanced outputs. The quality of the device as well as the sound quality is quite good and based on years of experience in professional audio hardware design. When running audio USB devices, one needs to be mindful of running higher sample rates on CPU load. As well, users need to ensure they are using a USB 2.0 port many systems have older ports or ones that won't sufficiently power a USB bus powered audio device reliably or offer enough bandwidth for higher sample rates. 5

[6x Knob] While other bands are lugging around massive ProTool rigs for live show tracks, this thing is feeding vocal doubles, loop tracks and clicks from an 11.6 laptop to stadiums for us. Fidelity is incredible. Durability is amazing. Reliability is rock solid. [Up to 96 kHz ] I only use the digital in and out. I would not compromise with the analog section. The speed is amazing. No latency. Perfect to combine it with my digital hardware. 5
