The Schneider FF Prime Cine-Tilt 75mm T2.1 Sony E-Mount Lensmarked in feet is designed to intercut with the Schneider FF Primes. However, it incorporates ±4° of tilt adjustment enabling you to change the focus plane of the lens. FF stands for full-frame, and every lens in the set covers a full-frame image sensor without vignetting and is designed for 4K image capture. This lens is color matched to a standard at the factory, minimizing color shift when changing lenses. It features a 14-blade iris which provides a natural-looking Bokeh with circular, out-of-focus highlights and 300° of lens barrel rotation. The 75mm shares the same focus and iris gear position, as well as the same 100mm front barrel diameter with the other lenses in the Xenon FF line of lenses.

The lens features a barrel with a large circumference, providing wide spacing for focus marks. Opposing focus scales provide properly oriented focus marks on both sides, so an assistant can pull focus from either side of the lens. The lens features gears for focus, iris, and tilt, which allow you to adjust each using industry standard lens accessories. The 75mm features a removable lens support bracket, so you can use an available lens support if you wish.

The lenses are designed to cover a full-sized image sensor and provide 4K resolution for image capture.

Designed to allow ±4° of tilt, which allows you to shift the focus plane of the lens. This enables keeping subjects in focus that are not the same distance from the camera's image plane without having to close down the iris and increase depth of field. When the tilt is set to 0°, the lens functions the same as a standard FF Prime Cine lens.

The lenses are color matched to a standard ensuring consistent color across lenses. This allows you to purchase additional Xenon FF lenses, as you need, without having to search through multiple lenses trying to assemble a matched set.

The lenses share the same physical characteristics across the set, this includes the length, diameter, and focus and iris gear position. This speeds up lens changes in the field, minimizing adjustments to matte boxes and lens accessories.

300° of lens barrel rotation provides for accurate focus adjustments throughout the range.

120° of rotation provides for precise tilt adjustment of the lens throughout the range of -4 to +4°.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this lens with a canon r5 without any adapter?

A: Yes. The following system is a RF-mount based lens.

Q: 2. These lenses vs the Rokinin cine lenses? What would the difference be exactly?

A: The Rokinon's have faster apertures The Meike lenses are smaller and have longer focus throws (which makes them more accurate to focus). It is also worth noting that Rokinon has several lines of cinema lenses from their DS series to their Xeen and Xeen CF. The Meike are closest to the Xeen CF in build quality. The Meike are compact sturdy lenses.

Q: 3. Seems I saw close focus distance in this picture for 75mm is 2'6, but offical brochure said that is 38.6 , so which is true?

A: Definitely 2'6 as printed on lens

Q: 4. Can the Xenon handle S35 Sensors at 8k?

A: Yes

Q: 5. Why "Feet"?

A: This lens has markings in Feet rather than meters. We do not have this same model available with Metric Markings at this time. So that we may best assist you finding the proper product for your needs feel free to email us directly at askbh@bhphotovideo.com.

Q: 6. Can you use this on a S35 sensor? And if so how does this change the focal length?

A: Yes you could use this on a S35 sensor size. Super 35 sensors will add a 1.5x magnification to the lens. This 35mm lens would look like a 52mm view when used on crop sensor S35 cameras.

Q: 7. where are these lenses manufactured?

A: Following unit is made in Germany.

Q: 8. Sirs, will this cover the newest (RED) Dragon 8K sensor? Or will there be vignetting? Thank you in advance.

A: The RED Dragon 8K sensor has an image diameter of 46.1mm. The Schneider Xenon FF 25mm T2.1 Lens is designed to cover a Full Frame image diameter of 43.4mm. There will be vignetting.

Q: 9. How are these compared to the Rokinon Xeen?

A: Cine lenses such as the Schneider Xenon and Rokinon Xeen share the attributes that are so needed in prime lens sets for movie production. Principally these are consistent physical size and consistent image quality. Inconsistent size slows down production and inconsistent image quality slows down post-production with a possible affect of the viewing experience. What differentiates the two brands essentially is that the Xeens are good quality while the Xenons are even better. If the budget is limited, go with the Xeens confident that you will get good results. If the budget is more generous, go with the Xenons. What you will get is superb design, build and image quality that you can feel and see. The Xenons will last for years in hard, 18 hour a day movie production.

Q: 10. Does the lens have a metadata system that sends focus distance and T-stop data back to the camera? (Like Arri LDS)

A: This lens does not have any electronics to send meta data to a camera, like the /i Electronics Technology inside Cooke Cine Lenses.

[Sony E] It has very very little if any breathing... almost no CA a full 330 rotation on focus covers a huge 45mm image circle and on my Red Gemini Looks fantastic...not over sharp like like my old Sigma art photo glass. - plus its proper metal housing has screw in filter options but I use a MB. You ca NOT go wrong here this punches well above its weight class. And unlike DZO Vespid does force you into a look- they have a very neutral look similar to lenses ive used like the Schnieder Xenon's for PL mount Cine these are a steal all 3 (yes I bought all 3 current avail 35-50-85)

[M95] I seriously LOVE what these lenses do as an intro set of Cine glass. As a long time Sigma Art series user I didn't realize how much of an upgrade this was going to be from Photo glass. I'm super happy with the money i spent on this and also the 35mm. I will be getting the 24mm and 85mm ASAP!

[75mm] This lens is an excellent entry into the world of cinematic filming. Great reproduction of color. Focus takes a little getting used to with the amount of focal range. Overall great lens!

[T2] I bought the 35mm,50mm and 85mm lens from the Meike Full Frame Line and I have to say I am very impressed. The body has a good build quality, and the image has what I I feel is an appropriate amount sharpness and contrast.

I used these lenses on a feature film in September, and the lenses did everything I needed them too.

I frequently use these lenses on a Red Komodo and a Black Magic Pocket 4k, and occasionally on other camera systems and I have been happy with the image they produce on every camera sensor I have put them on.

[M95] This is a perfect step up from photo lenses into Cine lenses. If your wondering if you will see a difference between a set of Sigma Art glass and this... You will! I personally think the falloff and flaring on these lenses are perfect for the Modern/vintage blend with a slightly warmer tone then DZO Primes I find these to be a little more welcoming to skin tones.

If you're wondering if this is worth the price tag. I'd say so!
