The Schneider FF Prime Cine-Tilt 100mm T2.1 Sony E-Mount Lensmarked in meters is designed to intercut with the Schneider FF Primes. However, it incorporates ±4° of tilt adjustment enabling you to change the focus plane of the lens. FF stands for full-frame, and every lens in the set covers a full frame image sensor without vignetting and is designed for 4K image capture. This lens is color-matched to a standard at the factory, minimizing color shift when changing lenses. It features a 14-blade iris, providing natural looking Bokeh, with circular out of focus highlights, and 300° of lens barrel rotation. The 100mm shares the same focus and iris gear position, as well as the same 100mm front barrel diameter with the other lenses in the Xenon FF line of lenses.

The lens features a barrel with a large circumference, providing wide spacing for focus marks. Opposing focus scales provide properly oriented focus marks on both sides, so an assistant can pull focus from either side of the lens. The lens features gears for focus, iris, and tilt, which allow you to adjust each using industry standard lens accessories. The 100mm features two lens supports.

The lenses are designed to cover a full-sized image sensor and provide 4K resolution for image capture.

Designed to allow ±4° of tilt, which allows you to shift the focus plane of the lens. This enables keeping subjects in focus that are not the same distance from the camera's image plane without having to close down the iris and increase depth of field. When the tilt is set to 0°, the lens functions the same as a standard FF Prime Cine lens.

The lens physically shifts as you adjust the tilt angle, and because of this movement the simplest set up is to use a Cine Tilt lens with a Sony A7 series camera, as the lens can be mounted directly to support rods using the two lens supports and the camera then mounted directly to lens and not secured to a baseplate. This will allow the camera to "tilt horizontally" and the lens to stay fixed so that rod mounted matte boxes, follow focus units, and lens motors will still work as you change the amount of lens tilt.

The lenses are color matched to a standard ensuring consistent color across lenses. This allows you to purchase additional Xenon FF lenses, as you need, without having to search through multiple lenses trying to assemble a matched set.

The lenses share the same physical characteristics across the set, this includes the length, diameter, and focus and iris gear position. This speeds up lens changes in the field, minimizing adjustments to matte boxes and lens accessories.

300° of lens barrel rotation provides for accurate focus adjustments throughout the range.

120° of rotation provides for precise tilt adjustment of the lens throughout the range of -4 to +4°

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the Xenon handle S35 sensors at 8k?

A: Yes... I have a Red Epic-W with 8K Helium SensorPerfect picture

Q: 2. What's the image quality between the full-frame version and the super 35 version, for say the pocket cinema 6k pro?

A: The image quality is approximately the same. the difference is that additional glass, "a 45mm image circle for full-frame sensor coverage" is added to the full frame version VS the 33.6mm image circle on the super 35 version.

Q: 3. Can this lens be used with extension tubes to further reduce the minimum focusing distance? Id like to use this lens for product video, but would like the ability to bring the lens in a little closer to the subject.

A: We are not aware of an extension tube that would work for this product and shorten the minimum focusing distance. Instead you may want to look at a high quality Macro Lens, such as the ZEISS Milvus 100mm f/2M ZE Macro Lens for Canon EF B&H # ZE1002MZE. https://bhpho.to/2DkfxFM

Q: 4. Is this lens has got the AF mode? Thanks,

A: There is no autofocus (AF) on these lenses. They are entirely mechanical and have no electronic elements.

Q: 5. Country of origin?,Germany?dr asok

A: The COUNTRY OF ORIGIN is GERMANY.

Q: 6. What is the rear PL flange depth?

A: The flange depth of the Meike 50mm T2.1 FF-Prime Cine Lens (PL Mount) is the standard 52mm depth of most PL lens mounts.

Q: 7. How are these compared to the Rokinon Xeen?

A: Cine lenses such as the Schneider Xenon and Rokinon Xeen share the attributes that are so needed in prime lens sets for movie production. Principally these are consistent physical size and consistent image quality. Inconsistent size slows down production and inconsistent image quality slows down post-production with a possible affect of the viewing experience. What differentiates the two brands essentially is that the Xeens are good quality while the Xenons are even better. If the budget is limited, go with the Xeens confident that you will get good results. If the budget is more generous, go with the Xenons. What you will get is superb design, build and image quality that you can feel and see. The Xenons will last for years in hard, 18 hour a day movie production.

Q: 8. work with SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter?

A: The Meike 35mm T.2.1 FF-Prime Cine Lens has a 85mm front diameter. According to SLR Magic, the SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter will except lenses with a front diameter of 65mm or less. According to these details, we would not recommend this combination.

Q: 9. Sirs, will this cover the newest (RED) Dragon 8K sensor? Or will there be vignetting? Thank you in advance.

A: The RED Dragon 8K sensor has an image diameter of 46.1mm. The Schneider Xenon FF 25mm T2.1 Lens is designed to cover a Full Frame image diameter of 43.4mm. There will be vignetting.

Q: 10. Why "Feet"?

A: This lens has markings in Feet rather than meters. We do not have this same model available with Metric Markings at this time. So that we may best assist you finding the proper product for your needs feel free to email us directly at askbh@bhphotovideo.com.

[Full Frame] It has very very little if any breathing... almost no CA a full 330 rotation on focus covers a huge 45mm image circle and on my Red Gemini Looks fantastic...not over sharp like like my old Sigma art photo glass. - plus its proper metal housing has screw in filter options but I use a MB. You ca NOT go wrong here this punches well above its weight class. And unlike DZO Vespid does force you into a look- they have a very neutral look similar to lenses ive used like the Schnieder Xenon's for PL mount Cine these are a steal all 3 (yes I bought all 3 current avail 35-50-85)

[M95] I've used ROKINON lenses which were quite above average. The Sirui anamorphic lens was even better. I just finished my first feature using the Sirui. Now that I just used this Meike FF on my Bmpcc4k for my trailer.... I am just blown away by the depth of field, bokeh and color depth of this lens. The quality, the weight, the build quality is on par to a much more expensive cine lens. This is the range of a 5k plus cine lens. I'm planning on buying the other focal lengths as well
