The DJI Zenmuse X7 Camera with 3-Axis Gimbalfeatures a detachable 3-axis gimbal that provides stabilization and enables the camera to move independently of the aircraft. This camera system offers multiple recording options, including 6K video at 17:9 and 16:9 aspect ratios, DCI 4K at 30 fps, and UHD 4K at 60 fps in Cinema-DNG format; it also supports DCI and UHD 4K in ProRes and H.265/H.264. In addition to video, the Zenmuse X7 shoots 24MP still images, which can be captured in various photo modes, including individual or bursts. The Zenmuse X7 supports both microSD and DJI CINESSD cards.

Q: 1. Is the X7 camera able to zoom?

A: Unfortunately, the DL lenses are not offered with a zoom for the X7 camera/gimbal.

Q: 2. Is this the same counterweight that ships with the main camera? I see that "in the box" is a counterweight but I need to know if I need to purchase this one as well additionally for heavier lenses.

A: This would be the counterweight for heavy lenses. A counterweight is not included with the DJI Ronin 4D 4-Axis Cinema Camera 6K Combo Kit

Q: 3. Can I use this as a standalone camera? Or with the OSMO for handheld use?

A: Hey Nicholas. The X7 is currently only compatible with the Inspire 2 aircraft and there is no handheld unit for it.

Q: 4. Is there a bundle with Inspire 2? What is needed as a full kit to make it work with Inspire 2 (with RAW) and whats the cost?

A: At the moment there is no bundle option for the X7 with the Inspire 2 (with RAW).The DJI Inspire 2 Premium Combo with Zenmuse X5S and CinemaDNG and Apple ProRes Licenses (DJINSPIRE2PC ) is the only kit that includes RAW.

Q: 5. Can you purchase the screws to attach this to the camera separately?

A: Yes, you can easily source M3-6 Countersunk Screws online for use with the DJI Zenmuse X9 Counterweight. Four of them come with it, so this may not be necessary.

Q: 6. Does this also fit the X9Air gimbal? It ships with a dummy plastic plate that appears to have a similar hole pattern.

A: Yes DJI Zenmuse X9 Counterweight will work with the DJI Zenmuse X9 air as well.

Q: 7. what about autofocus of zenmuse x7 camera and lenses?

A: Auto-focus is not available for this product or its compatible lenses.

Q: 9. Did DJI fix the problems of the Zenmuse X5, with the biggest problem that you can't download the SSD in the field. You have to use that Cinelite application which hardly works and it takes days to render out your media. Also the Zenmuse x5 rolling shutter was really bad, I hope that got fixed too.

A: You no longer need Cinelight for the Inspire 2 and any of its cameras!

[24 MP] All is good works well it's easy to understand the functions and they all work well. The setup is painless and for my camera which is a GH5 I can use a very large array of lenses and the weight is not an issue so far. 5

[2.525 lb] This machine performs as advertised. I capture images with the X5S camera and find it to be crisp and clear. The Inspire 2 was purchased because I wanted to offer high calibre video for a promotional shoot. I operate professionally and will use the system for mapping and video production as well as simple aerial photo. I am comparing this unit with the other multi-copters in my fleet from various manufacturers such as Autel Robotics and YUNEEC. 5

[3-axis] Hi, the gimbal is small and light with a good grip. It is fully featured with a long-lasting battery. It is also splash-proof which is ideal for my wet-weather shooting. I definitively love this gimbal (and its price) and would recommend it to everyone filming in inclement (interesting!) weather. 5

[± 0.005°] The X7 system is a giant step forward in aerial cinematography. There is a noticeable enhancement to the picture quality and sharpness due to the lens optics and larger sensor size. It's great to be able to change lenses to suite the shoot. You will notice your flight time will be shortened by 3-6 minutes due to the heavier payload of this camera system. I would also like to see a 100mm lens added to the lens set for natural history work. 5

[24 MP] If you are having problems with autofocus, be sure to update the firmware of the mount. All of the problems with autofocus are gone, and you don't even need to calibrate the lenses anymore. 5
