The iOptron 25mm Plossl Eyepiece 1.25" 52°is designed for comfortable near and deep-space astronomical observation. The relatively long focal length will produce a moderate magnification on most OTAs, making it a versatile addition to any astronomer's kit.

It is engineered with anti-reflective fully multi-coated optical surfaces to ensure bright and clear high-contrast images with true color transmission across the entire 52° field of view. With a 1.25" diameter barrel, it will fit the most common size drawtubes, visual backs, and accessories. The housing has a textured collar for safe handling in the cold, and a fold-down eyecup makes this eyepiece comfortable when viewing for extended periods with or without eyewear.

Q: 1. Will it work with Meade ETX 125

A: Yes it is compatible with the Meade ETX 125.

Q: 2. I have a Celestron TrailSeeker 80 spotting scope. It came with its own 8-24 zoom eyepiece. It's fine. But would this different 8-24 eyepiece be an upgrade? Is the quality higher? If so, great. If not, I'll stick with the original.

A: The Celestron 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece (1.25") BH #CEEPZ824 • MFR #93230 is the same eyepiece that comes with the Celestron TrailSeeker 80 20-60x80 Spotting Scope.

Q: 3. Are there t-threads behind the eyecup that a T-adapter can screw onto?

A: The Celestron 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece (1.25") BH #CEEPZ824 • MFR #93230 has no T-threads.

Q: 4. Will these filters work with the Meade 114EQ-AST 4.5 /114mm Reflector Telescope Kit B&H # ME114EQST / MFR # 04066-1 ? How do they compare to the Meade #3200 Lunar and Planetary Color 4-Piece Filter Set ?

A: Yes this filter set will be compatible with your Meade 114EQ-AST 4.5 /114mm Reflector Telescope Kit. Both kits are actually somewhat comparable. Some reviewers have said the Meade is better quality wise. Personally I think they are the same.

Q: 5. Could I use this with my Meade 125 etc?

A: If your telescope has a 1.25 eyepiece opening then this eyepiece will work. To determine if your scope does I will need to know the exact Meade Model that you have.

Q: 6. does it work in the celestron omni xlt130? in the original 25 mm eyepiece and the omni 4mm eyepiece?

A: Yes it will work on both 25mm and 4 mm eye piece which you got with you celestron omni xlt130.

Q: 7. What I feel that needs to be better explained about eyepieces and focal lengths as in 6mm or 25mm is that the opening is tiny for 6 mm as compared with 25mm that is wider . The lower the focal length the difficult it gets to train your eye throughthe opening due to its tiny opening. My child experience with my first kid telescope that came with 6mm and 25mm eyepieces told me that 25mm is more enjoyable to use despite lower magnification than the higher magnifying 6mm which is so restrictive in the opening for my eye to keep peeking through as steadiily as I can. I think that a minimum of 10mm is acceptable to me or maybe 12mm. . Am I correct?

A: Yes that is correct. 10 or 12mm will be okay. It also depends on how large of an aperture your scope has. The bigger front opening of the scope the brighter the image.

Q: 8. Does this lens work with Astromaster 130EQ?

A: Yes, the Celestron Omni 6mm Eyepiece (1.25") will work with the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ. This will provide a 108x magnification.

Q: 9. Does it work with celestron 127 slt ?

A: Yes the Celestron 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece (1.25") is compatible with the Celestron 127SLT telescope.

Q: 10. I have 130 eq ...can i used zoom lens

A: As long as you have 1.25 mount hole on your telescope (I believe 130eq is 1.25 ), you can use this one. I have 127eq and I absolutely love this eyepiece!

[25mm] Hey, it's a Tele Vue. Well made, Great quality. Leaps and bounds better than the pieces that come with most scopes. Important to remember that your eyepiece is just as important as your primary optics.

[52°] As someone who's been involved in amatuer astronomy for a long time, eyepieces had always been an area I skimped on so I decided to start down the road of quality. Tele Vue eyepieces are pricey, but they're well worth the money. This 32mm Plossl (and a new dielectric diagonal) probably almost doubled the view quality in an Orion ST80. The stars are pinpoints with much better contrast versus the included eyepieces. I also tried it out in a Celestron C6 and likewise, improved the views quite a bit. If you're looking for a great jump into the Tele Vue line, these are a great starting point.

[1.25"] I just used this eyepiece last night at a dark sky site in the Sandhills. This Plossl is a good intermediate magnification with my long focal length Mewlon 180c reflector. It's also useful with my Takahashi FC-100 refractor. Televue's 20mm was used often last night. I really think these Televue Plossls are a good fit for even the best telescopes. You can see the difference.

[0.215 lb] Even with a short tune achromat scope and the powermate 2.5, the views are tack sharp and as good as could be. The 15mm shines in the plossl series. I'm not saying the other pieces are not good; they are all superb eye pieces, but there is something about this one that stands above the rest.

[0.215 lb] This is the recommend eyepiece by Daystar Filters to use with the Quark Filters on SCT. The contrast is better than the other eyepiece I tested for this purpose.

[52°] I have enjoyed my Tele Vue Plossl 20mm Eyepiece. The 20mm is an excellent size eyepiece for viewing full moons, Nebulas, and Messiers. A great product, I would recommend. A quality eyepiece.

[0.215 lb] I'm using this eyepiece to replace the standard Meade eyepieces that came with my telescope. The clarity is a major improvement as is the contrast. Jupiter, it's moons, and saturn had a lot more clarity with the Tele Vue Plossl eyepiece. The moon also looks incredible with it as well.
