The black D.A.S. Audio Vantec 218A 18" Powered Subwoofer Systemfrom D.A.S. Audio Vantec 218A 18" Powered Subwoofer Systemis designed to provide extended bass response for the Vantec full-range cabinets.

It is powered by a Class-D amplifier with switch mode power supply and a 4000W (peak) power rating. The system includes two balanced inputs (A-B) with stereo HPF filtered output connections for satellite systems. It has two 18LX long excursion bass loudspeakers with 4" voice coils and massive magnet structures. The variable LPF crossover ranges from 80 to 125 Hz. A gain control and polarity reverse feature increase user control over the system.

The compact Vantec 218A cabinet is manufactured using birch plywood and is finished with a coating of ISO-flex black paint for durability. The powder-coated steel front grille protects the D.A.S. components. It is also equipped with handles on the sides and the rear of the cabinet along with two rear located wheels.

A: Yes, the Mackie SR18S 18" 1600W Professional Powered Subwoofer has an integrated pole cup on its top.

Q: 3. Can you turn the sub's volume down and still hear your monitors when connected? Essentially can you bypass the sub when powered on, for just the monitors?

A: Your stereo pair will operate independently of the sub and will not be affected by its volume level. The sub may be bypassed completely as well.

A: The SRX828SP does NOT have flypoints. It is not made or rated for safe suspension. JBL does not recommend that you fly this product.

A: The JBL SRX828SP 18" Dual Self-Powered Subwoofer System is a peak 2000 W rating for the whole unit.

Q: 6. How long is the power cord?

A: The manufacturer has not provided information on the length of the D.A.S Audio 218A's power cord.

Q: 7. The location I'd like to put this sub would require it to go on its side, with the port on the bottom. I would plan on having it on top of a foam subwoofer pad to decouple it. Would this be stable in that orientation?

A: Yes, it is possible to position the KRK S8.4 Powered Studio Subwoofer with the port on the bottom and it will be stable in this orientation.

Q: 8. How long are the feet? I can't find this info anywhere!

A: JBL has not published a spec on the height of the JBL LSR310S 200W Powered 10" Subwoofer's feet, but as it uses a downward-firing driver, they are designed to leave enough space for both proper dispersion and woofer excursion.

[4" (10.2 cm)] I purchased two Mackie SR18S 1600W pro powered subwoofers and two Mackie Thump 215XT 1400W powered loud speakers from B&H. A few cables and just using my IPAD this is incredible.My first time using B&H and very impressed. 5

[140 dB at 1 m] This subwoofer is the best on the market. I have two of these now paired with two SRX815P's. The sound is amazing, the bass hits hard. The boxes are very strong, I've let groups of people dance on them, that's how strong they are. The only downside, you need to people to transport them. The caster wheel system helps and if you had a trailer with a ramp, you could probably do it by yourself, but they are big and very heavy. 5

[2 x 18" (46 cm)] I ordered a full Yamaha HS8 setup and have been incredibly impressed. I have two of these HS8 monitors and 1 of the HS8S (matching subwoofers). Together these bring insanely high-quality studio sound to my setup. The speakers fit great on the side of my desk (I have a larger 80x30 desk), and the sound quality is fantastic. I highly recommend it! 5

[Birch plywood] I bought this for my house and am blown away with its performance. I have very high expectations, but this just took it to another level, in fact I see myself purchasing a 2nd one. I don't like my neighbors so with a 2nd one I should see for sale signs going up soon. One note for any of you that are installing this in your home, you will run into a problem if your trying to run it out of the back of your AVR, the signal to the sub will not work as it is not strong enough. I had to purchase a small mixer, ran the sub ouput from my AVR to the mixer, and a 1/4" jack from the mixer to the Sub. Dont use a XLR connector is it is a balanced cable and does not work as well as a 1/4" unbalanced as I had to plug it into a RCA jack in my wall which is unbalanced as well. With the mixer this sub just flat kills it. It is amazing and I highly recommend it. 5 Stars. 5

[4" (10.2 cm)] I have the Yamaha 8S speakers and use them in my video editing room. I have been waiting for this matching subwoofer to arrive---tremendous difference in the low end audio....surprising for an 8 speaker. Also added a sound isolation pad which I recommend. 5

[4" (10.2 cm)] One 18 will do great with two powered tops. Nice deep powerfull bass without resonance problems. In the US maybe not wel known, but is worth to try it. I had a group of 250p that had a wonderfull evening. Our EV zlx 15bt tops combined fine. 5
