Q: 1. It is not listed on the compatibility list under Sigmas list on the B&H site.I'm just interested in knowing. Thanks.

A: No, the 135mm art lens is NOT compatible with any teleconverters.

Q: 2. Has anyone used this lens on a Nikon Z6II/Z7II with the FTZ adapter? How is the AF speed?

A: It is our understanding that the speed of this lens when mounted on a Nikon F mount DSLR would be the same when using it with a Nikon FTZ adapter on a Z6II/Z7II body.

Q: 3. What is the T-Stop rating of this lens?

A: The Cine version of the Sigma 135mm which shares the optics with this lens is a T2. a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1337409-REG/sigma_240966_135mm_t2_0_canon_ef.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1337409-REG/sigma_240966_135mm_t2_0_canon_ef.html/a

Q: 4. Will autofocus and continuous focus work with C100 Mark II and C300 Mark 2 when I use this Sigma 135 f\1.8 DG HSM Art lens for Canon EF mount to record video?

A: The Sigma Art Lenses usually work perfectly with Canon Auto Focus systems in both still and video modes. However, be aware that Canon can make firmware updates and the Sigma lens will have to be updated as well. There is the Sigma USB Dock for Canon EF-Mount Lenses B&H # SIUSBDC available for you to do that. Probably your camera service center can do this for a fee.

Q: 7. HAs anyone tried using this lens for tracking fast subjects on a D500? I prefer prime lenses and I am trying to decide between this and a 70-200 in the same price range.

A: I've been using it for Volleyball with a D5 and D850 which I think has the same AF system as the D500? No problems - great lens! But unless low light is an issue, a 70-200 gives you a lot more range.

Q: 8. Hihi BHP team, could this be used as a macro lens?

A: Though the following combination has not been tested by us and thus we cannot guarantee performance, you should be able to use extension tubes to get this lens to act macro. Vello Deluxe Auto Focus Extension Tube Set for Sony E Mount B&H # VEEXTSFED.

Q: 9. Is this a Macro lens like the 105mm? I'm in the market for one or the other but I really need a Macro lens.

A: This is not a macro lens.

Q: 10. Are they making a Sony E mount version?

Boy am I glad I pre-ordered this lens the day it was announced (This is my 4th Sigma ART lens). My first Sigma Lens was 18-35mm f1.8 followed by the 50mm 1.4 ART, then the 85mm 1.4 ART and now the 135mm f1.4ART. The toughest buy was the 50mm 1.4ART because of all the negative comments about Auto Focus. I had a Canon 50mm f1.4 that I was upgrading and I was very nervous about the Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART due to all the negative review, comments about AF accuracy and speed. I found the sigma 50mm f1.4 to be just as good as the Canon 50mm 1.4 which then led to me buying the Sigma 85mm 1.4 ART with a little more confidence. With the Sigma 135mm f1.8 ART, I quit reading and listening to all the negative comments about Sigma's AF cause it was not worth passing up on the ART lenses especially when every one of my past Sigma ART lenses have been just stellar and AF was fast and accurate. the Sigma 135mm f1.8 ART is no exception. This thing is faster than all of my other ART lens (85mm ART included). I did my usual AF speed and accuracy test, just for fun and I was amazed by results, it is near perfect! especially considering the fact that I shoot on a 6D which is not exactly the best in AF! I have included the pictures, judge for yourself. overall, this lens is crazy sharp! the bokeh is just absolutely beautiful, the AF speed is ridiculously fast and the AR accuracy was the icing on the cake, cause I am nailing focus way more consistently on my 6D with this lens so much so that it makes my 6D's AF look good (if you are a 6D owner you know what I am taking about)

Exactlty what I've come to expect from sigmas art series line. Its a well built tank of a lens with amazing quality optics. Calling 1.8 sharp is a total understatememt on this lens....its beautiful and the resulting bokeh is buttery silk...amazing. Hats off to sigma for finally releasing this focal length in their art series. In the Nikon world there have been no good 135mm lens autofocus options for years (nikons 135 last being released in the 90s) and thats no longer the case with the release of this lens...

Sharpest lens I own by a mile, fast autofocus, heavier than expected, solid construction, virtually no chromatic aberration

Where can I start? I have not been a fan of Sigma mainly because its Bokeh has been not my cup of tea compared to monsters like my Sony 85mm 1.4GM for example. Still, with my disappointing about the Batis being a $2000 2.8 lens (seriously zeiss!), I decided to give this one a shot and wow! This thing is razor sharp with my A7Rii no matter where I place my subject, I know that with Eye AF and this level of performance, the model will have razor sharp eyes/details. Bokeh is actually very good too which really impressed me. No is not the best bokeh I have ever seen but its pro quality for the product I want to deliver and surely better than the 35mm 1.4 art I tried before. Yes it is big and I dont mind that because for me, IQ over size any day. When I see a big lens I feel less compromises were taken and this one proves it. Comparing this to the Samyang 135mm F2, which is an amazing lens on its own (second to none basically until now), this one is still the best. Comparing it to the Canon 135mm F2 is not even funny. That lens is severely outdated and Canon needs to come up with an update soon. Now, on Sony with the MC-11 I have had great accurate focus. Eye AF is not as fast as it is on a native lens but still works fast enough and more importantly it is very accurate which is crucial with this razor thin DOF. If 135m is your focal range...give this GEM a try, you won't regret it!

Just unboxed the brand new Sigma 135mm f/1.8 and it is a superb piece of glass. All ready shot several hundred images and its performance is unbelievable. Worth every penny Sigma wants for it.

Very sharp lens! The bokeh is ridiculous! Much more creamy background than my 85@F1.8 and 70-200 @ F4. Attached pictures of my cat. PS: pictures have been blurred sharpened slightly with photoshop.

I use this on my D810 and it creates such beautiful images. It is the perfect focal length for automotive and portrait photography on full frame cameras and has a really nice bokeh. Heavy strong design makes you feel like it was made nicely and feels great in your hand.

May well be the sharpest lens I've ever owned...and the list is long and distinguished. AF is snappier than i thought it might be. Bokeh is amazing. Hit rate even in low light dance action was great as well.
