[2.0] If you have an Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter you can connect this device into the USB Type-A slot, then connect a 3.5mm audio cable from a microphone (such as the Sennheiser EW G4 wireless lavalier system) to pipe the external microphone's audio directly into your iPhone. Excellent for the convenience of having good quality audio for your iPhone interviews or vlogging. I was skeptical that this setup would work, but it certainly does work. I'd recommend this device if you're trying to do something like what I described. Should work well with laptops too, but I haven't tried that.

[USB-A 2.0] I bought this item cause on my laptop the sound board wasn't working and I got my Mac used. To fix the sound board would have costed me, from 250-450 to fix it. So I went to B&H and i was told to buy this stero sound adapter it works fine. I am so glad that the sales people at B&H could solve my problem and save me money all at the same time. It works very well.

[2.0] This is the most compact USB to analog audio adapter you can find, and it has an equally small price. I bought one just to open it up and see what's inside and can confirm that it uses a Cmedia HS-100B for everything. This IC has 16-bit DACs with buffers for the stereo audio output (rated for a 32 ohm load), and a 16-bit ADC with a gain stage and buffer for the mono audio input (2.88V max range). The sampling rate is 48K/44.1KHz for both playback and recording. Windows 10 recognized the device and had it working shortly after plugging it into a USB port. The audio output quality is decent as long as you don't overload the internal buffers. Haven't tried the audio input but would expect it to be decent quality.

[0.135 lb] Took a little systems figuring out on my end, but the adapter was recognized by the PC instantly. Works great. I can now participate in Zoom and MS Teams meetings via internet audio.

[USB-A 2.0] On many iMacs, the headphone jack is a point of failure. This is great way to repair your headphone jack because you can bypass the built in headphone jack entirely.

[2.0] I bought this to connect my 3 Pocket Operators to my computer (MBP) so that I could record and stream good audio instead of picking it from the internal speakers of the Pocket Operator. Everyone I asked tried to sell me the Focusrite Scarlet ($$$) even though I told them specifically that I only needed one input and I don't need anything fancy. If all you need is to get good audio into your computer without all the jibber jabber, this is for you.

[Aluminum] My older MacBook Pro had a loose headphone jack. We used it often to play music for years but it finally gave out and unplugged it itself all the time. It was between fixing the old macbook pro or buying this and it turned to work great. PROS: Small, convenient, silver colored like the MacBook Pro, works flawlessly CONS: It's a little wide so although it uses one USB slot, it blocks the next one if the other cable is thick as well.

[Aluminum] I had been on the phone with techs from Sennheiser and other companies trying to get my Sennheiser SW100g3 rig working with my new Hydrogen 1, or any phone for that matter, as being able to film a thing with great audio at a distance onto a phone factor video cam was the holy grail for me.

It means better video with less gear to carry, allowing more situations for high quality filming and audio no longer a problem.

All the techs basically said it could not be done. I tried a LOT of adapters. But with this one, I didnt just get success, but a high quality stereo file for the recorded audio.

I had to use 3rd party camera software and click a few things here and there, but it worked brilliantly. 

If you need to use a pro audio recorder on your phone form video recorder, this will do it if your device has a USB-C io.
