A: This has screws holding the V-mount in place. We do not recommend removing them though.

A: Yes, this will clamp securely to a single 15mm rod.

Q: 3. can the battery plate be re-positioned horizontally and reattached to the arm? So that the battery can be oriented horizontally?

A: The SmallRig V-Lock Battery Plate with 15mm Rod Clamp & Adjustable Arm cannot have the battery mounting wedge repositioned.

Q: 4. How large is the opening for holding the tablet? I have an iPad mini with a Zugu case that's about 0.45" thick. Will the openings be large enough?

A: The The Joy Factory LockDown Universal C-Clamp Carbon Fiber Mount will not be compatible with an iPad Mini with a case, as that would make the device thicker then the maximum specifications of .4" depth for the mount.

Q: 5. Can I adjust the width of this clamp to fit other manufacturer's Arca-Swiss plates?

A: The width cannot be changed as it needs to comply with the Arca standard width.

Q: 6. Is the clamp wide enough to attach to a Zhiyun Crane 2 body?

A: As the base of the Zhiyun Crane 2 is wider than this clamp can support (up to 1.4"), this would not be recommended. An accessory that would mount to the base of the Crane 2 is a Zhiyun-Tech Extension Mounting Ring for Crane-2 (SKU: ZHGMBC531). This could be then attached to a v-lock assembly such as the Smallrig 1846 V-Lock Assembly (SKU: SM1846B).

Q: 7. Would this plate work for fiilex led lights? Specifically the p-360ex?

A: If you purchase the FiilexCoiled D-Tap Cable (1.9'),B&H#FIFLXA011, then yes, the CINEGEARSV-Lock Battery Plate with Universal Clamp for LED Light will work to use V-mount batteries on the Fiilex P360EX light fixture.

Q: 8. which brand tripod will this fit on?

A: Any tripod with a 3/8"-16 mounting screw (almost all of them) or 1/4"-20 (using a bushing adapter) will work with this dual mount arm. Due to the increase in load/torque using this mounting arm, we recommend a heavier duty tripod for more stability.

[3.7 lb] I clamped a 98wh Hypercore battery to a lightweight travel stand for a run-and-gun shoot and it held up all day. I had the stand in one hand and my camera in the other as we quickly moved from one setup to another and it never slipped. I use the Amaran P60C when I travel since it can fit in a carry-on, but had been using NP-F's because my other v-mount clamps take up too much real estate in my case. Now I can ditch the NP-F batteries and run on v-mounts for hours. It is fairly small, so make sure you set your expectations. If you need to clamp to a c-stand or combo then I would opt for a heftier option. This will definitely live in my travel kit. 5

[Carbon Fiber] Although small and light, this is a most effective clamp. I particularly like the feature where a QR plate can be dropped into the channel, and a 180 degree flip of the lever firmly holds the plate and everything I've attached to it. My only tiny nit-pick is the included mini-toolz has 2.5mm and 4mm hex keys, so an extra 3mm hex key is also included to adjust the lever opening. 5

[Carbon Fiber] Very handy mounting option for your V-Mount battery. In particular I use numberous Smallrig VB-155 Mini V-Mount batteries. Maximum diameter opening is 2.4 inches, Enough to mount on standard light stands and tripod legs. 5

[3.7 lb] Although compact and lightweight, this clamp firmly holds the QR plate and everything I have attached to it. A simple 'snug' of the twist knob is sufficient to ensure my medium-format camera stays put. 5
